Into 2020, PUBG Mobile had a new plan for PUBG Mobile esports with multiple official tournaments and a total prize pool of $5,000,000.

There are 2 seasons each year, Spring Split and Fall Split. On each season, teams will start out from small local tournaments and climb their way up slowly to bigger tournaments such as the PUBG Mobile Club Open and the PUBG Mobile Pro League. Ultimately, the best teams from all around the world will be picked out for the PUBG Mobile World League and the PUBG Mobile World Championship.

With this new system, new teams will have a chance to prove themselves in the big stages if they are good enough. Also, teams will be chosen more carefully through many stages, making the competition much harder and World Championship will more interesting for the viewers to watch.

PUBG Mobile World League 2020 - How many teams will be from PMPL South Asia?

The PUBG Mobile World League 2020 is divided into 2 divisions, East Division and West Division. The East Division has a total of 16 slots consisting of teams from the SEA, Wildcard, China, and South Asia regions. The South Asia region will be having the most slots in the East Division with 5 slots.

Teams from the PMPL South Asia have two chances to be qualified for the PUBG Mobile World League 2020.

PMPL South Asia League Stage

The PMPL South Asia League Stage features a total of the best 20 PUBG Mobile teams in the region. The total prize pool of the PMPL South Asia League Stage is $61,500. The 1st place team will get $10,000.

The top 3 teams from the PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asia League Stage will be directly qualified to the PUBG Mobile World League East Division. After the PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asia League Stage, 4 bottom teams will be disqualified.

PMPL South Asia Finals

The remaining top 16 teams will proceed to the PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asia Finals where the top 2 teams will be qualified for the PUBG Mobile World League East Division. The PMPL South Asia Finals has a much bigger prize pool of $138,500. The 1st place team will get up to $40,000 and the 2nd place team will get $20,000.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, there have been delays in PUBG Mobile tournaments around the world. So far, most regions have finished choosing the teams for the PUBG Mobile World League East apart from the 5 slots from the South Asia region.

PUBG Mobile World League 2020 Location, Prize Pool, and Schedule

While initially, the planned date for the PUBG Mobile World League 2020 was in May but everything was delayed and rescheduled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

PUBG Mobile has decided to call it the PUBG Mobile World League Season Zero. The official date for the PUBG Mobile World League 2020 is from July 10 to August 9.
