Can we avoid being banned if we used hacking software in Free Fire?

To purify the Free Fire environment, we must not only stay away from being a hacker but also put effort into fighting off against them with the help of potent in-game anti-cheat software as well as out-game reports. As for Garena Free Fire, hacking turns out to be an inevitable epidemic, so it’s evident that stricter methods should be deployed by the publisher as soon as possible – a collaboration between Garena and its community of good players.

Yes, you'll be banned permanently if you're caught hacking in this popular battle royale game. Garena started to launch Operation Cutcord in April, and a staggering four million accounts have been banned since the campaign was put into action due to cheating and hacking. Sadly, thousands of other accounts still step into such practices and get banned every week, thus resulting in Garena having to come up with another massive campaign that takes place on social media.

"Cheaters have no place in Free Fire. We apply a range of screening technologies to spot suspicious behaviour, and are constantly enhancing our ability to detect the most sophisticated cheaters. We will permanently ban anyone – amateur or pro – who is found to be cheating. Moreover, pro players who cheat will be expelled from our tournaments along with their entire team. We have zero tolerance for any activity that undermines the integrity and fairness of our game."

Even at the highest levels of tournaments and competitions like Free Fire Scrim Wars 2020, two players from Entity Gaming and TSG Army have been caught in the act of using hacks by the in-game anti-hack system. Needless to say, Entity Gaming and TSG Army were then disqualified from Free Fire Scrim Wars based on Garena Free Fire's rules. Now you can somewhat imagine the usage of hacking tools at the casual level.

How to report hackers and cheaters in Free Fire

Garena defines cheating as any use of unauthorized third-party programs that modify the client or the game, according to an anti-hack FAQ posted on the battle royale’s official website. The company also emphasizes its zero-tolerance policy against hacks, reminding players that accounts that are caught cheating, as well as the devices used, will be permanently banned.

Garena made sure to thoroughly explain that accounts are only banned when there’s evidence of cheating and they won’t be unbanned under any circumstances. In the blog post, they also reminded players not to share or trade accounts.

The first method can be done right after you’re killed during a squad match. Watch the death replay in View Mode, then click on the red alert button in the corner of the screen. Then, choose the option “Hack” and confirm your report.

Report Hack Free Fire
You need to submit a Hacker Report Form.

If you’re playing solo or just wish to report a player after the match has ended, you can do that in the in-game support menu. Go to the Basic tab in Settings and click on Customer Service. In the top right corner, click on Submit a Request and choose Hacker Report Form. You’ll have to provide information like describing the used hack, the ID and in-game name of the player, and a video attachment of the player using the hack.
