Snezhnaya Genshin Impact Leaks: Location, Characters, Release Date

Genshin Impact takes place in the magical world of Teyvat. It's home to seven distinct nations, each has its own element and god. As the game progresses, the game developer MiHoYo plans to expand the world by introducing new nations. Snezhnaya Genshin Impact is one of the upcoming explorable nations that are on their way.

Snezhnaya Genshin Impact Overview

The name Snezhnaya originates from the Russian word: Снежная Snezhnaya. It's one of the seven nations of Teyvat and will be available in the game in a future content update. People rising in Snezhnaya worship the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa - one of the seven gods, and the Fatui, a religious force under the Tsaritsa's control.

Snezhnaya is where the Archon Quest Chapter VI: Everwinter Without Mercy takes place.

Weather

Snezhnaya nation in Genshin Impact suffers from constant winter storms. Blizzards in this country can last up to a month straight. It's so cold here that you could freeze to death if you stop moving. Despite such a harsh and dangerous climate, the people of Snezhnaya always look forward to the future and are grateful for their lives.

Where Is Snezhnaya Genshin Impact?

The exact location of Snezhnaya in the game is not yet confirmed. However, Snezhnaya's design seems to be inspired by the real-world Tsarist and Soviet Russia. Its landscape primarily resembles that of Siberia. MiHoYo also incorporates European culture into the design, most notably the Harbingers' names from Italian theaters.

We believe the name Snezhnaya comes from the river with the same name in Siberia. Also, "Snezhnaya" means "snowy" in Russian. That's a perfect name for a region covered in snow. Briefly, MiHoYo designs Snezhnaya Genshin Impact based on Tsarist, Soviet Russia, Siberia, and some European countries.

Technology

Snezhnaya is more technologically advanced than the other nations in Teyvat. The nation's Fatui is said to be the strongest army out of the seven nations' military. Snezhnayan soldiers wield superior weapons, empowered by elemental attacks. The Fatui Skirmishers wear mechanical suits of varying degrees, even guns, and cannons.

In Alice's Teyvat Travel Guide, she recalls seeing the nation full of massive, fully automated factories. Snezhnaya is also where the Adventurers' Guild originates.

Subareas

When the main areas in the nation of Snezhnaya have not been revealed, we do get hold of two of its subareas. They are:

• Zapolyarny Palace: The Tsaritsa resides here.
• Morepesok:  A seaside village.

Characters

MiHoYo keeps the information about the playable characters from Snezhnaya very limited. So far, we can only confirm Tartaglia. He's a 5-star Hydro character who uses bows. The other five mentioned characters from Snezhnaya are:

• Dottore
• Pulcinella
• Scaramouche
• Signora

We don't know just yet how many stars each character in this list has or what ability they possess. We will update the information as soon as it's available together with the Snezhnaya Genshin Impact map.

Snezhnaya Genshin Impact Achievement

At the time of writing, there are only two achievements related to the nation of Snezhnaya in Genshin Impact. Upon completing the Snezhnaya Does Not Believe in Tears: Series I mission line. The achievements are:

1. Perfectionist: Complete all of Tsarevich's commissions flawlessly in "Reliable Helper."
2. Telling It How It Is: Gather intelligence concerning Snezhnaya in "Tales of Winter."

Currently, there's a known bug regarding the quests in Snezhnaya Does Not Believe in Tears: Series I. After the Traveller receives the daily quest from Viktor and completes it, they unlock the rewards, but not the achievements. It's a common bug with commission achievements in Genshin Impact.

To solve the bug, Travelers should wait until they get the same daily quest again. Basically, you'll get the achievement the next time you complete the task.

When Is Snezhnaya Genshin Impact Release Date?

As we have mentioned previously, Snezhnaya has not been available in Genshin Impact. It's part of the upcoming content update. Though there's a lot more to learn about this nation compared to other unavailable ones in Teyvat, Snezhnaya is actually planned to be released last.

According to MiHoYo, they will launch this region sometime in 2025. It seems like a logical move since the Fatui army is one of the major antagonists in Genshin Impact. Will Snezhnaya be the stunning conclusion to Genshin Impact's story? We would have to wait to find out.
