Lush Caves

This particular cave is filled with flora - from fruits to flowers and vines all over. To find a Lush cave, just look for Azalea trees on the surface - they are the indicator that there's a Lush cave below that you can mine and explore. Below are several new types of plants and creatures introduced in a lush cave:

  • Azalea plants turn the dirt they grew on into rooted dirt, which can spawn hanging roots for you to harvest.
  • Spore blossoms are pink flowers with particles that can be harvested and plant somewhere else.

Dripstone caves

The Dripstone caves are filled with Stalagmites and stalactites. To be specific, stalagmites act like spikes and can hurt both friends and foes. Meanwhile, stalactites can be dropped from above to deal damage. They also drip water - you can use them as a renewable source of water. In fact, some of them also drip lava instead of water.

Deep Dark Biome

Only one creature that inhabits the Deep Dark was mentioned in the presentation from Mojang - there is nothing about the biome itself. However, the Warden is a hostile mob found in this biome - it was created to spook the player.

The most dangerous part about the Warden is that their attacks ignore armor. However, they are completely blind and can be distracted by noises and thrown objects.

2. New Features in Minecraft Caves and Cliffs Update

Bundles

You can now bundle items - creating bags in which you can place as many items as possible inside. This will aid with inventory management... however, the exact mechanic is not yet revealed. Also, bundles can be stored in chests and you can mix and match.

Sculk blocks and wireless Redstone

Sculk growths are usually found in the Deep Dark biome - they are a new Redstone-like power source that emits Redstone signal. If a sculk sensor detects footsteps or the sound of a block getting placed or destroyed, it will emit a wireless Redstone signal. This way, gadgets can be operated without a trail of red stones connecting them. You can use wool to block the signals.
