The first Greedy Cave attracted a lot of attention from the gamer community thanks to its unique and deft art style, which reminded people of an old-school cartoon. That same style makes a return in this sequel, and it does a fantastic job at creating a mysterious vibe for the dungeon behind the Time Gate.
The gameplay is pretty standard for an RPG. You control your character from a top-down perspective and explore the various dungeons. Along the way, you will fight multiple monsters to gain experience and level up your character, which will unlock new skills. The levels are all randomly generated, so they will be different every time you go in. Furthermore, there are many boss encounters that await you at the end of each stage, from a gigantic Troll to a deadly flame-spraying machine.
Of course, to overcome these tough battles, you will need the help of good gear. The Greedy Cave 2: Time Gate features a wide variety of weapons, armor, and accessories that can grant you different powers.
