Gameplay

Combat

  • It’s a mix of auto-attacks and dodging, so you’re more about planning than button-mashing. You control up to three Trekkers, each with their own skills—like close-range Fighters or long-range Magicians—that you can level up for different playstyles.
  • The reverse bullet hell stuff means you’re dodging wild enemy attack patterns, which keeps fights intense and tests your reflexes.
  • Boss battles are a big deal, with unique mechanics that push you to mix and match team setups and Artifacts to win.

Roguelike Stuff

  • Gear, talents, and Artifacts are randomized, so every run feels fresh. Artifacts, grabbed while climbing Monolith floors, tweak both the story and how you play.
  • You’ll face random enemy waves and hazards in Nova’s different areas, keeping things unpredictable.

Show

Exploration

  • Nova’s got varied spots like deserts and old ruins, with a story that rolls out episode-style as you clear Monoliths.
  • You can tweak characters with skill upgrades, gear crafting, and even custom voice lines for some personal flair.

Gacha System

  • Not in the CBT, but pre-registration rewards hint at a system like Genshin Impact—about 160 currency per pull for 4-star characters or weapons, with a 50/50 shot at rare stuff. You’ll build teams with gacha-pulled Trekkers and gear.

Multiplayer

  • Early clips suggest co-op modes, like Dragalia Lost, where you can team up for tough Monolith stages or bosses, but details are still sparse.

World and Characters

Setting

Nova’s a fantasy world. So far only a few places are available. The most notable is Amour, the capital, where the "Wind Ash" crew, led by Minerva, runs skateboarding races in the Ash Area. Monoliths are the big mystery—dungeons packed with secrets and enemies.

Characters

  • Tyrant (You): The Demon King, hunting for Nova’s hidden truths with the New Star Guild.
  • Trekkers: A group of girls with unique personalities, like Amber, who fans love for her cute charm. They’ve got specific roles (Fighter, Magician, etc.) and stories tied to Nova. Check NamuWiki’s Stella Sora/Characters for more, but the full lineup’s still under wraps.

Closed Beta Test (CBT)

May 28, 2025, 20:00 UTC-7 to June 8, 2025, 00:00 UTC-7.
Platforms: Just Android and PC (iOS is out due to App Store rules).
This is just a small test with no purchases or gacha; progress gets wiped after. You get to try core gameplay, some stages, Fighter/Magician classes, and character tweaks. Sign-ups closed May 16, with access emails sent by May 23 and downloads from May 26.
CN CBT clips from January 2025 showed the prologue and fights, but the global test’s missing gacha, which bummed out some players.
