Away: The Survival Series is a quite popular game where you get under the wing of a Sugar Glider. Recently, the game’s developers have launched a demo version of sorts for this fascinating-looking adventure game. A prototype of this game is now available on PC. You can get a chance to try out this animal-based game with it.
Base on the game’s name, it’s predictable that you would glide around like a creature in the Sugar Glider world. You can zip and zoom through the caverns, canyons, and forest searching for prey.
Additionally, the developers claim that they have added a few Easter eggs to this prototype. These Easter eggs will let you become other animals.
From the end of this prototype, the Easter eggs can be found in "Exploration" mode. Currently, Breaking Walls studio (based in Montreal) is developing Away: The Survival Series. The inspiration for this game comes from the nature documentaries of David Attenborough.
The game takes place in a world which is currently under siege by natural disaster as well as other animals. You and your possum family somehow got separated from the early stage of the game. Throughout the game, you have to work really hard to reunite with them.
The developers also started a Kickstarter campaign that will help them finish developing this game. Furthermore, the campaign can also provide help in adding new features.
Up to now, the campaign has raised about $87,000 CAD, which exceeded its goal of $60,000 CAD. As it exceeded $80,000 CAD, Breaking Walls decided to add two more playable characters: the Grasshopper and the Stag Beetle.
If they can earn $125,000 CAD from the campaign, the studio will bring bigger playable characters to the game. The studio is thinking of making them in the form of the Bear and the Fox.
Mike Raznick, the one working on Life and Planet Earth II - the famous nature documentaries, also composed the music in this game.
Away: The Survival Series will be available on PC as well as PlayStation 4 soon. However, there has not been an official release date yet.
We will inform you about the latest news as soon as possible.
