Looks like Cayo Perico is about to turn into a zombie-infested nightmare, according to some fresh datamining finds.

Halloween in Grand Theft Auto Online

Halloween in Grand Theft Auto Online has always been a big deal for players who’ve been around a while. Last year was wild, but Rockstar Games seems to be going all out this time.

A new zombie survival mode, tucked away in the recent Money Fronts update files, flips Cayo Perico into a multi-stage fight for survival.

You kick things off at the compound, that super-secure spot we’ve all sneaked into a million times. But forget dodging guards—this time, you’re blasting through zombies to make it out.

Dataminers spotted at least four different zombie types, including one called a "Splitter" and another dubbed "The Conquistador." That last one’s a creepy skeleton that laughs off explosives and regular bullets.

The trick to dropping The Conquistador? A clean headshot that sends its skull flying.

After you fight through all four locations, you’ve got a choice: make a break for the airstrip, hop in a Velum, and fly back to Los Santos with zombies hot on your tail, or stick around and take on endless waves at any of the four spots you’ve cleared.

Even for Grand Theft Auto pros, this mode is something new. It’s a full-on trek across an island with different stages, unique enemies, and real decisions to make.

The coolest part? All this is already sitting in the game files. So when October rolls around, we’ll be back on Cayo Perico, but instead of grabbing loot, we’ll be fighting just to stay alive.
