FromSoftware has revealed the full schedule and sign-up details for a closed network test of its upcoming multiplayer action game, The Duskbloods. The test will take place on Nintendo Switch 2 and serves as a key step in preparing the title for its 2026 launch.

The network test focuses on server stability, multiplayer connections, and game balance under real-world conditions.

Network Test Dates and Sessions

The closed network test will occur over four days in August 2026 with the following play windows in Pacific Daylight Time (PDT):

  • August 21 (Friday): 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  • August 23 (Sunday): 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Session times may change or be canceled without notice.

How to Join the Test

Players apply through the official The Duskbloods network test website using a Nintendo Account. Spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Requirements include:

  • Nintendo Switch 2 console
  • Active Nintendo Switch Online membership
  • Stable internet connection

Approved testers receive a download code for a special test version of the game via the Nintendo eShop beginning August 18.

What the Test Will Cover

FromSoftware will run large-scale network load tests to check how the game performs with many players online at once. The team will also examine multiplayer stability across different network environments and collect feedback on combat balance during matches that support up to eight players.

Participants should expect bugs, as this is a pre-release build meant to help refine the online systems before the full launch.

About The Duskbloods

The Duskbloods is a brand-new PvPvE multiplayer action title developed by FromSoftware and directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. It is a permanent exclusive for Nintendo Switch 2. Players control Bloodsworn warriors empowered by special blood abilities, each with distinct weapons and playstyles. The game takes place in a dark, gothic world filled with disease, blood, and death.

This network test gives fans an early opportunity to experience the intense multiplayer combat that defines the project.

The full game remains on track for release in 2026. Players interested in participating can visit the official campaign site for more information and to submit their application when the window opens.
