Tech giant Google is known to keep secret treasures in its products, and on September 20, a user in Reddit discovered a new easter egg and it is a fully functional text adventure game kept hidden in the development console of Google Chrome Dinosaur browser game. The game will turn you into a big letter G and your job is to search for the other colorful letters to find the rest of the letters in “Google”.

A Reddit user named attempt_number_1 was the one discovered the game. To launch the game, firstly you need to open Chrome and search for “text adventure” and then hit Control+Shift+PC if you are using a PC or Cmd+Option+J if you are using a Mac. After doing those steps, you should see “Would you like to play a game? (yes/no)”.

If you answer it with a yes, the game will look like the following image. After that, you can begin your adventure to the rest of the letters in “Google”, which may require you to spend an average of around 30 to 60 minutes to finish, according to discussions in the Reddit thread.

I have just tried the game very quickly, but I feel like it can be a good game to have some fun. While playing the game, I even found “a banana peel next to the compost bin,” alongside a comment “Clearly someone needs to work on their basketball skills,”, the only assumption I can make is that someone is secretly trying to use the game as a tool to imply their coworkers’ bad aim.

If you want to have some fun with being the letter G, just open Chrome and do some small steps then you are good to go. If you are not sure about anything in the game, the game now has its own Wikipedia page and I assume that it will be updated frequently.
