An 81-year-old Minecraft streamer who has captured hearts worldwide with her wholesome gameplay and fundraising efforts recently faced a frightening swatting incident. Sue Jacquot, known online as GrammaCrackers, handled the ordeal with the same upbeat spirit that defines her content, calling parts of it “kinda fun.”

Jacquot began playing Minecraft to bond with her grandson Jack during his treatment for a rare form of sarcoma cancer. What started as a simple way to pass time in hospital waiting rooms grew into a popular YouTube channel and Twitch presence. Her videos and streams, combined with a linked GoFundMe, have raised more than $59,000 to help cover medical expenses. Jack is now cancer-free, and the community that formed around her gentle narration and patient building continues to grow.

The swatting took place on the evening of May 18, 2026, during one of her Twitch livestreams. A malicious false report triggered a massive response, with roughly 20 police vehicles, five SWAT officers, and drones arriving at her Arizona home. Viewers watched live as officers entered her streaming area with weapons drawn to secure the location. Reports noted that the officers remained respectful of her equipment throughout the search.

GrammaCrackers was asleep when police first arrived. Once she was escorted outside, the situation took an unexpected turn in her eyes. In a follow-up video she posted to reassure fans, she shared her remarkably positive perspective.

“They walked me out, and I didn’t know what was going on, but it was kinda fun,” she said. “My grandkid and my kid were hugging me. You can’t get that much attention normally. I was really eating it up. It was kinda fun.”

She described meeting officers she never would have encountered otherwise and even enjoyed her first ride in a police car. She praised one female officer in particular, calling her “the prettiest police woman I’ve ever seen” with “beautiful eyes” while adding that she seemed capable of handling any situation. Afterward, GrammaCrackers simply took an ibuprofen and went to bed, later noting she had “never felt more protected.”

Her grandson later explained the full scale of the response to concerned viewers. While many in the community expressed outrage at the cruelty of targeting such a positive creator, GrammaCrackers focused on the family moments and novel experiences the night brought.

She returned to streaming the following day to let everyone know she was safe and sound. Her lighthearted recounting of the event has only strengthened the affection her audience feels for her. In an online space that can sometimes feel harsh, this 81-year-old gamer continues to show that kindness and humor can turn even a dramatic interruption into something memorable and, in her words, a little bit fun.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the real dangers posed by swatting. For GrammaCrackers and her growing community of supporters, however, it became just another story in a remarkable journey built one block at a time.
