The Curvesickle is a secret free upgrade for your Curveclaw in Hollow Knight Silksong. But you need the Curveclaw first and to hit Act 3. Once there, mess around in a room in the Far Fields to catch a hidden NPC's eye. It's a huge boost if you've been sticking with the Curveclaw up to Act 3. Here's the rundown on grabbing it.
Getting the Curvesickle in Hollow Knight Silksong
It's tucked away in a hidden quest in the Far Fields. Once you're in Act 3, the room right above the lower bench in Far Fields shifts. Head to the right side; there's a little target board up front. Pre-Act 3, it's got two ant foes shooting at a single target. But later, it gets more targets. Make sure you've got the Curveclaw—snag it or buy it from Mottled Skarr—before heading in.
Equip it, then position Hornet so you can nail all the targets in one Curveclaw toss. Might take some fiddling to get the spot right. Once you do, an ant NPC pops up from underground. Chat with it, and it'll swipe your Curveclaw.
Step out, hit the closest bench to advance time, then pop back in. Boom, Curvesickle's on the floor. Quest done, upgrade unlocked. If you try this too early, just one target and bugs hanging out means you're not ready yet.
Is the Curvesickle Useful?
It dishes out more damage with a broader sweep when you chuck it, letting you smack a bunch of foes hard. Like the original, slap on poison via the Polyp Pouch. Super handy for aerial pests and big groups, like that Whiteward Chapel challenge.
