Let's get cheaters banned before they backslide!
Having been recently released, but Apex Legends has already an unbelievable amount of cheaters. Still, that is common in any game these days. Respawn, otherwise, wants to make sure that they wouldn't become too much of a problem.
“As of today over 16,000 cheaters have been identified and banned from the game,” announced by Respawn via Reddit.
On February 16, EA confirmed that they had already banned 16,000 players. This number is not likely to include those cheaters who have yet to be detected. These people were found using a range of hacks and cheats to hold the high ground in the game. Some of the tricks are aimbot and wallhack, which allow users to see enemies and shoot them through the wall.
Anyone who ever spotted one of those cheaters in Apex Legends might want to report them at the earliest.
However, once you got killed or the match ended, you would no longer be able to report those cheaters in Apex Legend through the “report player" button. Then, here is the right way to report those who have hacked the game or have obviously cheated.
There is only one way to do so is to report cheaters through the EA website. Within an online form, you are required to enter your player ID. This will allow EA to analyze log files that probably will help figure out whether cheating happened.
“Cheaters suck. If you run into one, please try and capture the evidence and let us know here” said Respawn. “Even if you don’t get proof, get their ID and flag it and we can investigate the account. We have heard your feedback about a report feature in the game. I’ll just say that’s a very good idea.”
In the near future, Respawn might upgrade the game with a reporting feature —but now, this is the best choice we could have.
