Activision has published the full PC requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 ahead of the October 23 launch. Infinity Ward and PC partner Beenox listed three hardware tiers, a 90 FPS target at recommended settings, ray tracing in Campaign, Multiplayer, and DMZ, and a new round based mode called Collateral. A built in benchmark tool is included so players can match settings to their rig before launch day.

Three PC Spec Tiers

Minimum specs get you into the game on Windows 10 with an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600, 8 GB of RAM, and a Radeon RX 470, GeForce GTX 970 or 1060, or Intel Arc A580 with 3 GB of VRAM. Recommended specs are the ones built around 90 FPS in multiplayer on High graphics. That tier asks for Windows 11, a Ryzen 5 3600 or Core i7-8700K, 16 GB of RAM, and a Radeon RX 6600 XT, GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, or Intel Arc B580 with 8 GB of VRAM.

The highest listed tier is for high quality ray tracing at 4K upscaled. It calls for a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-10700K, 32 GB of RAM, and a Radeon RX 9070 XT or GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 16 GB of VRAM. Every tier needs a 115 GB SSD. TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are required for RICOCHET Anti Cheat. If those features are off in BIOS, you cannot play online.

Ray Tracing and Upscaling

Ray tracing is not limited to a campaign showcase. Reflections, shadows, and lighting are supported in Campaign, Multiplayer, and DMZ. PC players can choose NVIDIA DLSS 4.5, AMD FSR Redstone, or Intel XeSS 3. Advanced Shader Delivery is meant to cut first match stutter. The PC build also adds more than 800 customization options, ultrawide support, Enhanced FOV, and a competitive settings preset.

Collateral Mode

Collateral is built for Search and Destroy fans who want higher stakes. Teams alternate between attacking and defending two bomb sites. Every player starts with a pistol and earns cash from eliminations and objective play. That cash is spent between rounds on armor, perks, equipment, and weapons. Dying strips your loadout, but money carries over. Respawns, killstreaks, automatic health regen, and custom loadouts are disabled. The loop is closer to a buy round shooter than a typical respawn playlist.

Digital preload starts October 15 for players who pre purchased the game. Campaign early access begins October 16. The full game launches October 23 on Xbox on PC, Battle.net, and Steam.
