Mortal Kombat 11 is the next sequel in the Mortal Kombat series, hiding many fascinating Easter eggs and references. The two Disney’s Easter Eggs previously found out are the interesting connection between the character Frost and Frozen’s Elsa queen and the small Toy Story egg in the introduction video of the character Johnny Cage. It’s newly discovered that Mortal Kombat 11 also has a Marvel’s Easter Egg, specifically related to the game character Baraka and Black Panther of Marvel with its signature catchphrase “Wakanda Forever.”

The “Wakanda Forever” salute is one of the special highlights in the Marvel’s Black Panther which is the action of crossing arms in front of the chest and saying the phrase “Wakanda Forever” in unity. It was soon to become a popular meme on the Internet and be used as a victory salute by many people. Although the heat of this phrase was reduced, Baraka still uses this iconic salute in the eleventh game in the Mortal Kombat series.

In the Towers of Time, Player of the game can open the cinematic “Tarkata Forever” after finishing the third tower of Baraka. “Tarkata Forever” cinematic shows Baraka crossing his arms following his victory, which is similar to Black Panther’s “Wakanda Forever.” Although some people consider this iconic salute as an old meme that is “dead,” it appears that it will regain the heat right after Black Panther comes back to the big screen with his second solo film.

But for Shang Tsung, there is no DLC character confirmed in the eleventh Mortal Kombat. So everyone is still holding their breath to see if any other Marvel Easter eggs are hidden in upcoming DLC characters’ selection. The fans are calling for some faces in the current roster of Mortal Kombat, namely Reptile, Ermac, and Mileena.

Mortal Kombat 11 is now available on Xbox One, PC, Switch and PS4.
