Back in March, the PUBG team laid out their 2025 plans and mentioned their premium content. Now, they’re circling back to give more details on free rewards, especially BP, in a recent announcement.
What is Premium Content in PUBG?
In PUBG, you’ve got a bunch of in-game stuff like skins, G-Coin, Passes, Contraband Crates, Loot Caches, Archivist’s Chests, Keys, and Credits. The team calls all this “premium content” since it’s part of the game’s economy. Alongside gameplay updates, they’ve been rolling out premium content that they hope players like, without messing with the core combat balance. You usually buy this stuff, but there are ways to earn it through playing or special events. The game’s economy is built to make both paid and free rewards feel worthwhile.
Free Reward Improvements
The team’s making some solid changes, like adding new missions to the Event Center and upgrading rewards for Ranked and Arcade modes.
New Rewards
Weekly Supply
You can now tackle Weekly Supply missions to earn points for BP. Players can rack up to 23,000 BP weekly, with missions and rewards resetting every Wednesday at 2:00 AM UTC. Each mission and reward is a one-time deal per week.
Enhanced Rewards
Ranked Play Point Rewards
To make Ranked mode feel more rewarding, they’re boosting the prizes. Less exciting rewards are out, and better ones tied to premium content are in:
- Added 50,000 BP and 100 Contraband Coupons
- Artisan Token bumped from 5 to 50
- Archivist’s Chest increased from 1 to 3
Arcade Point Rewards
Arcade rewards are getting a glow-up too:
- 300 Arcade Points: Contraband Coupons go from 2 to 10
- 600 Arcade Points: Contraband Coupons also jump from 3 to 10
- 1,500 Arcade Points: Contraband Coupons rise from 5 to 10
Free Currencies: BP and Contraband Coupons
If you’ve played PUBG, you know BP and Contraband Coupons. BP is free, earned just by playing, unlike paid G-Coin. Making BP more useful ties it to the core gameplay experience. But just handing out more BP isn’t enough—there need to be better ways to spend it to keep its value.
New Feature: Currency Selection
Starting with Update 36.1, you can pick between G-Coin or BP for certain Store items. This isn’t just about BP spending—it’s about making high-value premium content, like paid skins, appearance items, Special Vehicle skins, and Progressive weapon skins, more accessible. Before, stuff like G-Coin-only Store items or seasonal collabs was out of reach for BP users. Now, outfit items and seasonal Loot Caches (like Spring Fest or Black Market) can be bought with BP, though there’s a 50-purchase limit per event to keep things sustainable.
Contraband Coupon Update
From Update 36.1, using Contraband Coupons to buy Contraband Crates gets you 10 Scrap per purchase, same as with G-Coin. This lets non-spending or low-spending players save up for rare items, making them more accessible. It also boosts the value of BP, since you use it to get those coupons, making playing the game feel more rewarding.
