This guide details every prerequisite, step, puzzle solution, and tip to obtain it without missing a beat. Expect combat, backtracking, and a unique helper.

Prerequisites

  • ID Wristband (Level 1) - Found near Lead Researcher's Office after evading early enemies.
  • Sun Quartz - From Lead Researcher's Office puzzle (code: Star, Sun, Moon, Sun). Needed for the Organ Transport Box manual in the Leather Notebox.
  • Ammo, herbs, and hip pouches for inventory - Stock up in West Wing Storage and Kitchen areas.
Tip: Clear zombies thoroughly before carrying Emily later - Grace cannot shoot while holding her.

Step 1: Acquire Tools for Level 2 Access (West Wing Kitchen Area)

With Level 1 access, enter the Kitchen via the door past the Parlor.
  1. White Door Room: Grab Scrap, Lockpick, and Wrench.
  2. Use Wrench on the broken handwheel door (near Bar & Lounge) to enter Cold Storage. Pick up Artificial Heart.
  3. Blue Door Room: Proceed to Garage. Loot Organ Transport Box from the truck (shoot zombie driver to escape digger).
  4. Staircase Room: Grab Empty Injector, Lockpick, ammo. Note safe code for later.

Step 2: Open Organ Transport Box and Get Artificial Lungs

Inspect the box. Use the "Unlocking the Organ Transport Box" manual (from Leather Notebox with Sun Quartz):

  1. Turn circular knob to "Hand".
  2. Move vertical switch to middle.
  3. Turn switch next to "5" down.
  4. Turn switch next to "2" down.
  5. Turn circular dial to "Auto".

Reward: Artificial Lungs.

Step 3: Activate the Corpse for Level 2 Wristband

Head to East Wing Examination Room. Place Artificial Heart and Lungs on the corpse.

  1. Body reanimates - defeat it.
  2. Loot ID Wristband (Level 2).

 

Step 4: Access Security Manager's Office (Isolation Ward)

Use Level 2 Wristband on East Wing Isolation Ward door.

  1. Clear zombies to reach office.
  2. Examine Puzzle Box (engravings scratched, Braille only).
  3. Fold diary on desk for code hint.
  4. Loot ID Wristband (Level 3) from corpse.

 

Step 5: Free and Escort Emily

Return to Medication Room (main lobby). Use Level 3 to free blind girl Emily.

  1. Pick up Emily (cannot shoot - clear path first).
  2. Drop her in Guard Office couch if needed to fight zombies.
  3. Carry to Security Manager's Office.

 

Star Quartz Puzzle Solution

Code: Star - Star - Moon - Sun
(Right button, Right, Middle, Left)

Emily reads Braille and inputs. Cutscene: She grabs Quartz but gets snatched by monster. Hole opens - descend.

Step 6: Basement Rescue Sequence

(Spoiler-heavy: Switch to Leon S. Kennedy briefly for Victor's Office exploration, boss fight, items like MSBG 500 shotgun, Hatchet, Grenades.)

  1. Complete Basement: Collect 3 Joint Plugs for gates/devices.
  2. Hide from tall monster (turn off flashlight, crouch in cells).
  3. Power devices: Holding Cells, Inspection, Processing.
  4. Rescue Emily, escape to elevator.
  5. Obtain Star Quartz.
Warnings: Save often. Use off-angles for boss charges. Analyze Blood Specimens for recipes.
