Developer From Software has just pushed out a new update for its latest game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Alongside fixing a few bugs, the update also makes several balance tweaks in order to improve the viability of the various combat options that players have access to in the game.

According to the studio, the goal of this update is mainly to "encourage usage and diversity of approach" when facing the enemies. To that end, it has improved the Spirit Emblem cost and efficiency of some Shinobi Tools, including the various Loaded Axes versions and the Lazulite Sacred Flame. Similarly, a couple of Combat Arts like Ashina Cross and Dragon Flash have also received some adjustments. The Sabimaru also been buffed, increasing its Poison build-up against foes that were supposed to be weak to it.

Beyond those tweaks, From Software has changed the stats of certain bosses, among them the Blazing Bull, whose Vitality and Posture have been trimmed down "slightly". The cost needed to get information from Anayama the Peddler is now cheaper as well.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the drop rates for Divine Confetti from the Fencers in Ashina Castle have been tuned up. This is undoubtedly huge, since this consumable item gives you a damage buff and is pretty much mandatory against certain minibosses, but is rather hard to come by in the early game. With this buff, players will probably have an easier time obtaining them.

Other changes include several bug fixes and optimizations to improve the overall experience. You can check out the full patch note on the official website of Sekiro for more details.
