The Dichotomy Beta for Silver Palace has given players their first look at the game’s Revelation system, which serves as the gacha for obtaining characters and weapons known as Motives. Early details from the ongoing test show a structure that focuses on featured guarantees without the traditional 50/50 system found in many similar games. Soft pity rates and useful rewards for duplicates are also part of the design. Developers have clearly noted that these Revelation rules are for testing reference only and may still change before the official launch version.
Limited Banners
Limited Character Banners, called Limited-Time Repertoire events, feature a rate-up 5-star character. These banners use a featured guarantee mechanic that resets only after the player obtains the featured 5-star character. Players spend Judgement Shots to perform Revelations. The base probability for any 5-star character is 0.8%, rising to an overall rate of 1.8% when guarantees are included. Five-star results can be either the current featured character or standard characters. The featured 5-star is guaranteed within 100 Revelations. There is no 50/50 system. Players can obtain multiple 5-star characters, including standards, on the way to the 100-pull guarantee without resetting the pity counter for the featured unit. This is a notable player-friendly detail.
For 4-star characters the base rate is 6% with an overall rate of 13% including guarantees. Every 10 Revelations guarantee at least one 4-star character, and a featured 4-star is guaranteed within 20 pulls. When a 4-star appears there is a 50% chance it is one of the current featured 4-star characters.
Limited Motive Banners, known as Limited-Time Monologue events, follow a very similar structure for 5-star Motives (weapons). They share a featured guarantee that resets once the rate-up 5-star Motive is obtained. Players use Deduction Shots for these pulls. Rates are the same as character banners: 0.8% base for 5-star Motives and 1.8% overall. The featured 5-star Motive is guaranteed within 80 Revelations. Every 10 pulls guarantee at least one 4-star or higher Motive, with the same 6% base and 13% overall rates for 4-stars, plus a 50% chance for featured 4-star Motives when one appears.
Standard Banners
Standard Banners for both characters (Standard Repertoire) and Motives operate under matching rules. Players use Standard Shots. A 5-star character or Motive is guaranteed within 80 Revelations. Rates stay consistent at 0.8% base and 1.8% overall for 5-stars, and 6% base with 13% overall for 4-stars. Every 10 Revelations guarantee a 4-star character. The remaining probability, about 93.2%, covers 3-star Motives with equal chances among the available options.
Bonuses and Duplicates provide Mind Shards as a reward. Obtaining a 5-star character for the first time awards a bonus of 20 Mind Shards. The next six duplicates convert into that character’s Trait while also granting 20 Mind Shards each. From the seventh duplicate onward players receive 50 Mind Shards. For 4-star characters the first copy yields 4 Mind Shards. The next six duplicates convert to the character’s Trait plus 4 Mind Shards each, while further duplicates grant 10 Mind Shards. Each 3-star Motive provides 8 Mind Grains. Mind Shards act as a flexible currency in the Shard Exchange shop and can be spent on Judgement Shots, Deduction Shots, Standard Shots, and various Mysteries.
Overall the absence of a 50/50 system on limited banners stands out as a strong design choice. Guarantees of 100 pulls for limited characters and 80 for Motives and standards sit in a reasonable range compared to other titles. The ability to land standard 5-stars without disrupting the featured guarantee further improves the experience. At this stage of the Dichotomy Beta only a single limited banner is available, so details on pity carryover between banners remain unconfirmed. A system that transfers progress would be highly beneficial, while a full reset would feel less generous. As the beta continues and more information appears, players will gain a clearer picture of the long-term feel of Silver Palace’s gacha.
