Minecraft enthusiasts, get ready to dive into the depths of cuteness! The latest development snapshot, 26.1 Snapshot 5, has just splashed onto the scene, introducing revamped visuals for several aquatic baby mobs and a magical new flower that grants eternal youth to your pint-sized companions.

Adorably Tiny Ocean Dwellers

Mojang has updated the models and textures for the following aquatic baby mobs:

  • Baby Axolotls: Available in their five vibrant colors, these salamanders now boast improved baby models with adjusted bounding boxes for better fitting.
  • Baby Dolphins: Bottle-nosed cuties that swim alongside players in oceans, now with enhanced baby visuals.
  • Baby Turtles: Arguably the tiniest mobs in the game, just a few pixels tall, resembling seagrass as they scuttle toward their beachy homes.
  • Baby Squids and Glow Squids: Featuring tinier tentacles, bigger eyes, and increased bounding boxes to match their new designs. These ink-squirters spawn in rivers and oceans, lighting up (or glowing up) the underwater world.

These changes are part of an ongoing revamp of baby mob appearances, following updates to baby horses in Snapshot 4.

Additionally, new baby chicken sounds have been added: entity.baby_chicken.ambient, entity.baby_chicken.hurt, and entity.baby_chicken.death, bringing more life to your farmyard fluffballs.
