This week is undoubtedly going to be a gory one for PC and consoles with the release of Mortal Kombat 11 and the PS4 exclusive Days Gone. Nintendo Switch, on the other hand, balances it out with some cheerier exclusives of its own including SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech and BoxBoy + Box Girl. Also, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is also coming to the platform.

Mortal Kombat 11: April 23

Available on: PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch

Mortal Kombat

There’s probably no introduction needed for Mortal Kombat at this point, but the newest addition to the franchise does bring a few new things: Fatal Blows that are basically X-ray attacks that you can perform once per match, Krushing Blows – cooler versions of special moves, and Flawless Blocks that leave the opponent vulnerable to counterattack if you can pull it off by timing your defenses at the exact moment. Taking a page out of Injustice 2’s book, Mortal Kombat 11 also allows you to customize your characters.

The long-awaited PS4 exclusive is finally coming in just a few days. Main character Deacon St. John traverses a post-apocalyptic open world on his motorcycle, combating zombies (or Freakers as they are called here). To deal with the army of the undead, you can either choose a stealthy approach with traps and ambushes, or go full Rambo. Just remember, don't let yourself get caught around the enemies when night falls.

Moreover, you can also try out the dedicated single-player mode, which focuses on Qbby only.
