We all know that the newest update in Fortnite – patch v8.20 of the game – has been receiving a lot of criticism from the Fortnite community. All the popular streamers of this battle royale game have publicly displayed disagreements with the update patch. These disagreements come from the removal of health and shield gained for every kills and the slowness when you harvest materials in default playlists.

The most active famous streamers of Fortnite in publicizing statements going against the patch update is Tyler “Ninja” Blevins. This biggest Fortnite streamer has just ragequitted from the game after receiving several losses continuously in standard solo matches. But perhaps this action of ragequitting from Ninja had been built up earlier since in the same stream, Ninja had waited 5 minutes, but he could not get into a game in Arena Solos mode.

Despite being the face of Fortnite, Ninja just ragequitted from the game

Having waited 5 minutes but could not get into the Arena Solos mode, Ninja got fed up and screamed: “I’m not going to sit around in Arena solos all day. I’m now trying to wait five minutes to get into a freaking game just to play in the setting that I want. I’m not gonna do it,” Ninja said, yelling right after, “so you win, Epic.”

Some viewers of his stream at that moment suggested Ninja that he could sign up a totally new Fortnite account to play the Arena Solos mode since new accounts will have a much shorter time of waiting. Ninja denied the option and said “only losers smurf.”

But after having to play the standard solo mode, he has been defeated a few matches in a roll. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back, and Ninja ragequitted Fortnite.

“I’m playing something else,” Ninja said. “Unless they fix something in this solos, I’m not playing this game anymore unless I’m playing Arena duos or Arena solos with Reverse.” After closing Fortnite, our streamer started playing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

About the v8.20 patch and Epic Games, this game developer said in the patch notes that these mechanics had resulted in “an unhealthy level of aggressive play, diminishing other viable strategies” in standard mode. There has been no information that Epic Game will do anything with these changes yet.
