Spider-Man and Mysterio have gained $1 billion dollar together

Although Spider-Man: Far From Home is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel Studios itself made the movie, this movie is not a movie by Disney. Spider-Man: Far From Home is the result of the collaboration between Marvel Studios and Sony. By achieving $1 billion dollar revenue mark, this movie is the second movie of Sony to achieve this mark, after the 2012 James Bond movie Skyfall by Daniel Craig (with the worldwide box office revenue of $1.1 billion dollars)

After 7 years since Skyfall, Sony has another $1 billion dollar movie

Spider-Man: Far From Home surpassed the $1 billion dollar revenue milestone on Thursday (which was literally yesterday). In the home ground the USA, this movie has gathered $333 million dollars, and in all other markets except the USA, the film has gathered $672 million dollars. That means the total box office revenue of this movie is standing at about $1.005 billion dollars (at the time this article is being written)

With $333 million dollars box office revenue, the USA is surely the most profitable of the movie. After the USA, China is the second most profitable market for the movie with $204 million dollars box office revenue, followed by South Korea ($56 million dollars), U.K. ($36 million dollars), Mexico ($30 million dollars), Japan ($26 million dollars), Brazil ($25 million dollars), Australia ($24 million dollars), Russia ($20 million dollars) and France ($20 million dollars), among other territories.

This is the third movie of Marvel Studios this year, after Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel, and all three movies have surpassed the $1 billion dollar revenue milestone, even Avengers: Endgame is the most profitable movie of all time, taking Avatar’s position.
