The worst scenario seems to come to reality for MCU when Sony decides to pull Spider-Man out of the MCU entirely. We are all sad about that. But until now, the directors of the two latest Avengers movies Anthony Russo and Joe Russo have raised their voices about this split up.

In the recent interview with both directors, when the question was brought up, Anthony Russo was the first to say. He has always thought that the so-called "marriage" between Sony and Disney was not meant to live long.

The two directors also revealed that the procedure to bring Spider-Man to the first MCU movie (which is Captain America: Civil War) was really long and hard. Later one, Spider-Man of Tom Holland has shown up in four more movies of the MCU: Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame, Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home.

However, Joe Russo had harder words than his brother. He believed that this action of Sony was a "tragic mistake" of this corporation.

Nevertheless, the big boss of MCU Kevin Feige still had nice words about this breakup. Having Spider Man for MCU was his dream, and he made it happen for five big films. That was a good time for him. Although there won't be any Spider-Man in the MCU, Disney still earns all the benefit from Spider-Man merchandise sales. Also, Sony just releases the digital version of Spider-Man: Far From Home in 4K resolution. This movie is sold only via digital stores.
