The second best-selling game of all time is coming to the next-gen consoles very soon. Grand Theft Auto 5 has been released on 2 different generations of consoles since its launch, and it's about to be three. First debut in 2013, seven years and 130 million copies shipped later, GTA 5 (and GTA Online - its multiplayer component) is still going strong. Rockstar Games now even plan to publish the game on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with GTA Online Expanded and Enhanced.

1. GTA Online Expanded and Enhanced for next-gen consoles
Thanks to backward compatibility, you can always enjoy the original GTA 5 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. But what's new in that? You don't just buy the latest consoles to play a 7-year-old game, do you? Well, Rockstar Games know that and they're planning to do something about it.
The game developers and publishers confirm that a new and improved version of GTA 5 will launch on November 11, 2021. According to Rockstar, this version will be next-gen console exclusive, with "new features". In addition, the company also announced a standalone version of GTA Online for PS5 and Xbox Series X. It will be free exclusively for PS5 players until February 2022.
So far, we still have no idea what Rockstar Games will include in this version of GTA Online. From what we heard, it's pretty much a remastered version of GTA 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series X. In terms of what new features are coming, little clues were leaked other than the trailer of GTA 5 expanded and Enhanced.

- The Cayo Perico map may also be available in Story mode in the GTA Online Expanded and Enhanced version.
