Last week, the Android platform witnessed the release of so many great games that picking up only 5 to recommend was really difficult. However, here are some Android games that we think are absolute must-try:
Rebel Inc.
Rebel Inc. is the sequel of the highly-acclaimed strategy game Plague Inc. Only this time, instead of trying to spread your epidemic and eliminate the entirety of humankind, you are tasked with stopping rebellions and bringing stability to a post-war country. To do that, you have to maintain the balance between keeping the army and the people happy.
Evolution: The Video Game
Evolution: The Video Game is the digital version of the physical board game of the same name. In this game, you will control several species of dinosaurs and have to evolve them using various trait cards to ensure their survival. The appeal here is that there are so many ways you can go about this. For example, you can choose to be a herbivore, getting food from the environment while picking traits like Hard Shell or Climbing to protect yourself from predators. Or you could become a carnivore, which can only survive by hunting other species – in which case traits like Pack Hunting or Ambush will come in handy.
RWBY Deckbuilding Game
RWBY Deckbuilding Game is a new card game featuring characters from the American animated series RWBY. It aims to shake up the traditional formula with several interesting mechanics and full cross-platform support between Android, iOS, and PC. The game is pretty easy to learn, meaning even those who are new to card games can quickly pick it up. On the other hand, it also has enough strategic depth to keep veterans interested.
Final Blade
Final Blade is a new tactical RPG with a massive collection of over 300 heroes which you can summon through a gacha system. The game includes all the standard stuff that you’d expect from a mobile RPG: You will be leveling up your heroes, evolving them after a certain point, and participating in various PvE and PvP battles.
Spicy Piggy
Spicy Piggy the latest game from Nitrome, and it’s a very solid platformer. Like most games of this genre, you’ll navigate through a 2D environment and overcome many enemies and obstacles using several familiar moves such as wall hops and mid-air dashes to complete a level and move on to the next. However, the interesting part is, the protagonist of this game is a pig that apparently ate too much spicy food that it literally breathes fire.
