Doctors across the world can soon put away their phone emulators. The popular strategy RPG Arknights is receiving its long-awaited official PC version on August 13, 2026.

Yostar, the publisher for the global English server, confirmed the dedicated desktop client will go live at 04:00 UTC-7. Players will download the installer directly from the official Arknights website and launch the game through its own launcher. Full cross-save support means existing mobile accounts transfer over completely, so operators, progress, and resources carry across without interruption.

The timing lines up with the end of the “First of a Thousand Autumns” side story event, which began in mid-July as part of the game’s 6.5th anniversary celebrations. After maintenance on launch day, the PC platform becomes available as an additional way to play.

What players can expect

The official client is designed to improve the experience beyond what mobile devices or third-party emulators offer. Anticipated advantages include native keyboard and mouse controls for more precise deployment and skill activation, smoother frame rates, higher resolution support, and better overall performance on desktop hardware.

System requirements

Yostar has published the following specifications:

  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11 (64-bit)
  • CPU: Minimum Intel Core i3-6100 or equivalent; Recommended Intel Core i5-8400 or equivalent
  • GPU: Minimum NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti or equivalent; Recommended NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or equivalent
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • DirectX: Version 11.1 or above
  • Storage: 30 GB available space (plus an additional 20 GB or more during installation)

Updating graphics drivers to the latest version is recommended.

A long-requested addition

Arknights, developed by Hypergryph, has built a dedicated following since its 2019 mobile launch with its tower-defense gameplay, deep storytelling, and large roster of Operators. For years, many players relied on emulators to experience the game on larger screens. The official PC client removes that workaround and gives the community a properly optimized desktop option.

Similar releases are rolling out for other regional servers around the same date, including Japan and Korea, where the client also becomes available from the respective official sites.

As of early August, the countdown is short. Players who want to jump in on day one should keep an eye on the official Arknights Global website and social channels for the download link and any final instructions. After more than six years on mobile, Rhodes Island is finally expanding its operations to the desktop.
