What is Frosty Funland in the BGMI 4.1 Update?

Frosty Funland is the big winter overhaul that came with the 4.1 patch (rolled out around November 13, 2025). It turns maps like Erangel into a full snow-covered winter wonderland, complete with festive decorations, slippery ice surfaces, and penguin-built towns. The main spot is Penguinville – a huge snowy city area packed with loot – plus smaller Penguin Towns and Snow Festival villages scattered around.

You'll run into friendly (and helpful) penguin NPCs, including the Ninja Penguin called Pownin who can join your squad as an AI teammate, fight alongside you, revive players, and even sprint to recall towers. There are new gadgets like Magic Ice Skates for fast gliding and big jumps on ice, Penguin Snowmobiles (four-seater vehicles that shoot slowing snowballs), Salted Fish Rocket Launchers that drop icy traps, and throwable healing items or boost elixirs from Apothecary Penguins. It adds a fun, chaotic layer to classic matches with better mobility, interactive events, and plenty of high-tier loot in the themed zones.

The A16 Royale Pass sticks to a glacier and ice theme all the way through. One of the highlights is the upgradable Glacier MG3 – a weapon skin that gets cooler effects and animations as you level it up.

There's also the M762 Glacier Edition with a special kill effect and icy banner, plus a Glacier Kar98k skin showing up later. Rounding it out are ice-patterned helmets, a crystal-covered Glacier UAZ vehicle, and other winter cosmetics that fit the cold season perfectly.
