I. Chests By Digging
Many treasure chests are buried underground that must be dug to claim rewards.
#1. Hidden Chest 1
The first hidden common chest in Chenyu Vale is buried in a small village at the entrance of Chenyu Vale, the Wenhua's Camp. Go to the shred with Jueyun Chillis, Carrots, and Berries grow around to find a place where you can dig to unveil the common chest.
#2. Hidden Chest 2
You can dig another chest on the northeast edge of the new area. From the northeastern waypoint on a small dock, head northeast to the grassless patch where a white-black dog is sitting. Approach the dog and interact with the 'Dig' button.
#3. Hidden Chest 3
The third hidden chest is buried in the tea field in the northeast of Qiaoying Village. When roaming around Tea Hill to collect Chenyu Adeptea, you can find the 'Dig' button in the middle of the slope.
#4. Hidden Chest 4
There is a diggable chest on the remote isle in the north of Yilong Wharf. You can find the 'Dig' button on the broken boat, near a treasure on the southern shore of the isle.
#5. Hidden Chest 5
From the southern waypoint of Mt. Mingyuan, you head west to the mountain foot and find two Treasure Hoarders. After defeating them, dig the chest under the sand pile to get the treasure chest.
#6. Hidden Chest 6
There is another treasure chest to dig on the northern river bank of Chiwang Terrace. You can find some Hilichurls guarding around a sand pile. Defeat them and dig the treasure chest under the sand pile.
II. Chests By Interacting With Animals
There are some hidden chests requiring Travelers to interact with animals in the game, such as feeding them.
#1. Hidden Chest 7
Travelers can get a hidden chest when interacting with animals in Chenyu Vale. Firstly, find the pelican named Bandit at the small dock in the west of the Statue of Seven in Qiaoying Village and interact with it to get a piece of fish.
Then, head to the village to find an orange cat named Sir Pouncealot on the tiny bridge at the entrance of Qiaoying Village.
#2. Hidden Chest 8
You can find a Shiba dog with a feeding plate in front of it on the wooden dock on the northeast of Teatree Slope. Feed this dog with a fowl. Then, it will guide you to the location of the hidden chest. Dig the chest to claim treasures.
