Changing your username in Honor of Kings (HOK) lets you personalize your player identity or start fresh. The first change is free for every account. After that, you will need a Name Change Card. This guide covers everything you need to know, from the exact steps to important rules and tips.
How to Change Your Name (Step-by-Step)
- Launch Honor of Kings and reach the main lobby screen.
- Tap your profile avatar in the top left corner.
- Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the top right of your profile page.
- Select the Info or Profile section.
- Find your current name and tap the pencil or edit icon beside it.
- Type your new desired username. The game will instantly check if it is available.
- Tap Complete to confirm. If this is not your free change, the Name Change Card will be used automatically.
Pro Tip: Your new name must be unique and follow the rules. Offensive words, banned symbols, or names already taken will be rejected automatically.
How to Get a Name Change Card
After your free rename, buy a Name Change Card in the shop for only 90 Tokens (roughly $1):
- Open the in-game Shop from the main menu.
- Go to Treasures.
- Select Special Offers.
- Switch to the Daily tab.
- Purchase the Name Change Card using Tokens earned from events or purchases.
Important Rules and Tips
- 1 You can only change your name once every 15 days.
- 2 New accounts get one completely free rename.
- 3 Free cards are often given out during events. Check the Events tab regularly.
- 4 Always double-check spelling before confirming. The change is permanent until the next cooldown.
Quick Troubleshooting
If the pencil icon is grayed out, your 15-day cooldown may still be active or you need a Name Change Card in your inventory. Restart the game and check again.
