Everything To Know About Blue Archive Steam Release

Blue Archive, the free-to-play gacha RPG from Nexon Games’ MX Studio, is set to hit Steam on June 24, 2025. This is the global version Nexon’s been running since November 2021, but it won’t be available in some places due to regional restrictions or different publishers, like Yostar for Japan. The Steam page is live for wishlisting, though you’ll need to log in since it’s age-gated with a “frequent nudity or sexual content” tag, which has fans less stressed about censorship.

Available for global players, but not in Japan, Belgium, Netherlands, China, Germany, or Vietnam.
No pre-download before the June 24 launch.

What’s Blue Archive About?

If you’re new to the game, it’s a real-time strategy RPG with visual novel elements. You play as a teacher, or Sensei, guiding students to fix problems in the giant city-state of Kivotos. On Steam, it’s listed as a single-player title with in-app purchases, and you’ll need a Nexon account to play. It’s got a decent language spread and might take up a fair chunk of space.

Supports English, Japanese, Korean, Thai, and Traditional Chinese.
Expected to be around 20 GB, possibly with better character sprites than mobile.

The Steam release isn’t just a straight port—it’s packing some nice upgrades.
