The Undersea Mystery theme transforms matches with whale planes, hidden ocean realms, fishing mechanics, and water-based combat. This patch brings fresh gameplay to both Battle Royale and Clash Squad while adding quality-of-life tweaks and a brand-new character.

Undersea Mystery Theme Arrives in Battle Royale

The water is calling in every BR match. The Undersea Mystery overhaul adds several ocean-inspired features that change how you drop, loot, and fight.

Whale Plane

The plane at the start of each match now looks like a massive blue whale. It gives every game a fun new visual kickoff as you soar toward the island.

Undersea Realm

A secret entrance opens at Nurek Dam on the Bermuda map. Inside this underwater zone you will find richer resources than usual and an interactive sword statue that drops high-tier loot. When you need to escape, simply use the portals to return to the surface.

Hydro Zone

The regular High-tier Loot Zone turns into the Hydro Zone during the event. Giant water walls surround the area. Players take no damage and suffer no slow while passing through the walls. Bullets can even travel straight through them. Just like before, the zone still contains high-tier loot.

Fishing Ponds

New Fishing Ponds appear across the map. Interact with them to catch fish that grant different buffs. Caught fish will follow you around the battlefield. If you eliminate an enemy, their fish switch over to you. At the start of every match, some random ponds upgrade to elite Fishing Ponds that offer even better loot and stronger buffs.

Bubble Airdrops

Giant whales fly across the sky and drop Bubble Airdrops filled with powerful items. Team up with squadmates to capture them faster. Pop the surrounding bubbles and charge them together to speed up the process and claim the rewards inside.

Hydro Blaster

The new Hydro Blaster weapon brings water-based firepower. Hold the fire button to spray continuous water beams toward your crosshair. After sustained shooting, it unleashes a high-pressure burst that deals heavy damage. When ammo runs out or you manually reload, a quick-time event lets you perform a fast reload.

Undersea Mystery Comes to Clash Squad

The underwater fun extends to Clash Squad too.

The Undersea Realm joins the Bermuda map pool, letting teams battle on the ocean floor. Hydro Blasters are now available in the CS Store so you can bring the splashy new weapon into ranked and casual matches.

New Character: Ray – The Watchman

OB53 introduces Ray, a new character built for aggressive rushers who love elimination streaks.

Tired of endless fighting, Ray left his old gang with help from Shirou’s father. He now wanders city streets using his strength to protect the weak.

His active skill, Sunpower, links to and tags enemies. When a tagged foe drops to low health, Ray can instantly knock them down with no escape possible. Every successful knockdown on a tagged enemy resets the skill cooldown and restores Ray’s HP, letting him chain fights without stopping. Pair him with characters that boost mobility or damage to dominate close-range battles.

Other Major Battle Royale Adjustments

    • You can now switch presets and loadouts during the preparation phase after entering a BR match. Once the match starts, pick from Preset 1-5 and adjust your loadout (active and passive skills stay locked).
    • The quick-message system received big improvements with a new Group Up icon, auto-triggered messages for hits, attacks, item use, and smart suggestions for airdrops, revivals, and weapon pickups. Marking now shows distance to targets.
    • Most in-match devices are now single-use except Launch Pads, Portals, and Mini Turrets.
    • Mini Turret received buffs: faster rate of fire (0.5s), longer duration (240s), and increased firing distance (100m).
    • Tactical Market changes remove Hit List and Arsenal Key. Monster Truck Drop is limited to the first 600 seconds. Launch Pads are now unlimited-use but cost more. Several other price and limit tweaks improve flow.
    • Loot boxes in deep water now float to the surface for easier looting.
    • Lightning Zone and out-of-zone sounds are optimized, and plane cabin volume for other players is lowered.
