The anime version of the mobile game Garena Free Fire, made by Garena, just dropped a teaser visual and trailer today.
The teaser visual and trailer both spotlight Kelly, one of the game’s most popular characters and the main star of the anime. In the trailer, you see Kelly and her crew digging into a secret plot hiding in what looks like a calm universe.

Ken Takahashi, who directed stuff like Ragna Crimson and Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA, is leading the charge on this anime. CANDY BOX, the studio behind Blue Archive The Animation and Anime AzurLane: Slow Ahead!, is handling the animation. The music’s coming from Sus4 Inc., who worked on Ragna Crimson and Jackie Chan & Clair [Peace of the World].
KADOKAWA QINGYU, the overseas arm of KADOKAWA, is managing the production. The finished anime will be shown on TV and streamed worldwide.
Garena Free Fire is a battle royale game built for mobile players. It was the top-downloaded mobile game globally from 2019 to 2021 and the most-downloaded mobile battle royale in 2022 and 2023, per data.ai. In February 2024, it hit over 100 million daily active users at its peak.
