Each 5-star character in Genshin Impact usually comes with a 5-star weapon designed to work with their kit. Dehya is not an exception to this rule - she is going to come out with a claymore of the Sumeru series, Deshret Awaken. Aside from this new weapon, another 4-star claymore named Whispers of Wind and Flower is also going to be available for free during an event in 3.5.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the 2 new weapons to look out for in the next patch.

1. About Beacon of the Reed Sea

  • Base Attack 45.94 - 608
  • Substat Type Critical Rate %
  • Base Substat 7.2% - 33%

Skill: After an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, your ATK will be increased by 20% (40% at R5) for 8s. After you take DMG, your ATK will be increased by 20% (40% at R5) for 8s. The 2 aforementioned effects can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. Additionally, when not protected by a shield, your character's Max HP will be increased by 32% (64% at R5).

Beacon of the Reed Sea looks similar to other weapons of the Deshret series - very crude and heavy.

How good is Dehya's signature weapon?

Due to Dehya's peculiar kit that requires her to tank, the Beacon of the Reed Sea gives a lot of bonuses to ATK and MAX HP to make up for her weaknesses.

The weapon's HP bonus is rather weird, as it literally can't be used with a shielder. This means to make full use of it, players need to forgo using characters like Zhongli or Thoma.

Who else can use this weapon?

Overall, players can consider this weapon an improved version of the Wolf's Gravestone.

  • Diluc - the Deshret Awaken gives Diluc a 40% ATK bonus right away, which is much more valuable than the Wolf's Gravestone's low HP bonus. The extra HP is just the cherry on top and is not that important.
  • Razor - a physical DPS like Razor could definitely use a 40% ATK stat stick.
  • Eula/Beidou/Itto - most DPS can make use of this weapon if their signature is not available.

About Dehya

Dehya is in general a bruiser who tanks and deals damage at the same time. Defense-related mechanics have been usually damage resistance or Shields, so I'm glad to see a character who is outright a damage sponge. Plus the healing makes her very self-sufficient. This is an archetype I've wanted in the game for a while.

  • Desiccated Shell x 23
  • Faded Red Satin x 15
  • Remnant Glow of Scorching Might x 14

  • Dream of Scorching Might x 14
  • Marked Shell x 41
  • Rich Red Brocade x 27
  • Olden Days of Scorching Might x 6
  • 225k Mora

2. About Mailed Flower

  • Base Attack 43.73 - 564.78
  • Substat Type Elemental Mastery
  • Base Substat 24 - 110

Skill: Within 8s after an Elemental Skill hits an opponent or triggers an Elemental Reaction, ATK and Elemental Mastery will be increased by 12% (24% at R5) and 48 (96 at R5) respectively.

The weapon looks fairly generic.

The Mailed Flower is going to be a free weapon from the Windblume event.

How good is the Mailed Flower?

Overall, the sword is rather weird, as not many claymore users want Elemental Mastery. There already are good f2p options like the fish blade. However, it can definitely be used as a stat stick by characters who might need a bit of EM.

This might be a future-proof claymore, as Mihoyo might release a Dendro Claymore user in the future.

Who can use this weapon?

  • Beidou - if you are using her in a Quicken team, the ATK and EM bonus would be very useful.
  • Dori - usually she would use an EM weapon to battery and get more energy for her Burst, but the WWF claymore would yield more damage.

Ascension materials

  • Fetters of the Dandelion Gladiator x5
  • Desiccated Shell x 23
  • Spectral Husk x 15
  • Chains of the Dandelion Gladiator x 14
  • Sturdy Shell x 27
  • Spectral Heart x 23
  • Shackles of the Dandelion Gladiator x 14
  • Marked Shell x 41
  • Spectral Nucleus x 27
  • Dream of the Dandelion Gladiator x 6
  • 225k Mora
