The Genshin Impact Version 5.8 update, called “Sunspray Summer Resort,” drops on July 30, 2025. It’s bringing a brand-new permanent summer map, Easybreeze Holiday Resort, set in Natlan. This place is bursting with bright, tropical energy, packed with fun games, and loaded with cool lore.

Exploring the New Easybreeze Holiday Resort

This resort is the perfect blend of chill summer hangout and sneaky adventure. It’s off Natlan’s west coast, and you’ll explore it with familiar faces like Bennett, Chasca, Mualani, and Venti. There’s also a cute mascot, Asha, who does more than just look adorable—they give you special moves to glide over water and float in the air. I’m stoked about the new spray-paint puzzles that uncover hidden secrets. It’s fun, fresh, and totally different from past exploration stuff.

Resort Genshin

But, as always with Genshin, there’s more beneath the surface. The sunny beaches hide the mysterious Mare Jivari, where you’ll face off against the legendary Bakunawa. Going from beach party to epic monster battle is classic Genshin storytelling, and I’m pumped to see how it plays out.

Summer Events and Exclusive Rewards

The mini-games sound like a blast, from helping out in “Travels Are Fuller With Friends” to action-packed “Strikers Through the Storm,” plus music parties and spray-painting challenges. Everything you do racks up Sunspray Spirit, which you can swap for rewards.

I’m eyeing the exclusive 4-star Claymore “Flame-Forged Insight” and Bennett’s new outfit, “Adventures in Blazing Hue.” It’s about time Bennett got a style upgrade!

Genshin Impact Version 5.8 Update: New Playable Characters and Reruns

Ineffa: 5-Star Electro Polearm

The update introduces Ineffa, the first character from the new Nod-Krai region. She’s a 5-star Electro polearm user with a unique Lunar-Charged reaction that turns Electro-Charged into a Thundercloud dealing ongoing Electro damage. I love when they mix up combat like this, and Ineffa seems like she’ll be fun to build teams with.

She comes with a cool assistant bot, Birgitta, who zips around dealing AoE Electro DMG and adds extra hits when a Thundercloud’s active. Pair her with Hydro characters, and she might just shake up the meta.

Re-runs and Chronicled Wish

Ineffa’s banner kicks off in the first phase with Citlali’s rerun, followed by Mualani and Chasca in the second half. It’s a solid lineup, and I’m definitely pulling.

Yelan’s New Look and System Upgrades

Yelan’s getting a slick new outfit, “Tranquil Banquet,” with a Fontaine flair. It comes with a side activity where she uses a special gadget to find hidden clues—super fitting for her detective vibe. The outfit’s discounted for a limited time, too!

The update also brings some handy system tweaks. Short video tutorials will explain how to use new characters, there’s an auto time-skip for quest navigation, and the material tracking system now shows which characters help find regional specialties. Small but super useful for farming.
