One of PUBG Mobile's biggest update ever made, the 1.0 update, is going to hit the live server on Sept 8, 2020. The game is going to be improved massively, with better, smoother graphics and new content - spearheaded by the complete overhaul of the Erangel map. Understandably, all the excitements and hype are focused on the Erangel 2.0 map... however, there are certainly other new additions worth noting. In this article, we would explain How To Get The 15x Scope In PUBG Mobile.
Recently, in a sneak peek for PUBG Mobile 1.0 update posted by the developers, the 15x Scope has been leaked. In this article, we would tell you everything you need to know about this update.
Table of Contents
1 - What's the 15x scope?
The full name of the 15x scope is "15x PM II Scope" - it is an actual scope in normal PUBG, spawns only in Air Drops. This power scope can zoom in even further than the 8x CQBSS, the current strongest sight in PUBG Mobile - enable extreme range sniping. It is best to use the 15x with weapons that have high bullet speed such as the Mini14 or the AWM. Due to its very strong zoom, the scope is super hard to control and is easily swayed. It is best to keep a spare sight in your inventory to swap in for close range when using this.
The 15x actually does not have 15x magnification at all - it magnifies your field of view down to 6.67 degrees, which is closer to 12x.
2 - Is the 15x scope coming to PUBG Mobile?
As the scope already exists in the original PUBG, it is just a matter of time. The reason behind its exclusion from the game is probably due to technical difficulties - as 15x would require much more processing power, with your screen having to render scenes from much farther away.
With PUBG Mobile team being super professional, the chance for this to be an accidental reveal or visual bug is super low. This is likely to be a hint for the upcoming features that are going to be added to the game.
3 - What is the role of the 15x scope in PUBG Mobile?
Overall, this scope is used to increase the ability to snipe of players even further, due to it being one of the only Airdrops attachments. Snipers with a 15x would be able to make a much more precise attack and scout at a much longer range. However, it definitely comes with a cost, as the scope is much harder to control - even worse than the 8x. You would probably have to use another scope in tandem for close-quarter fights.
The addition of this scope would make snipers even stronger in matches and rewards skillful players even more - as mastering this scope is no easy feat. You would now be able to have the same sniping experience as PC players, with the ability to catch your enemy completely out of nowhere. As you can see on the picture - the enemy would not be able to discern where the bullet is coming from.
4 - Trick to convert the 3x scope to 15x
There is a weird glitch that can be used to convert the 3x scope to 15x. It is very specific, however - you would have to do this exact sequence of action for it to work. Firstly, you would need to get the Kar98k equipped with an 8x scope and the M416, with a 3x scope not equipped, along with an extended quickdraw magazine.
Afterward, you would have to start running and equip the M416 with the 3x and the extended quickdraw. Drop the Kar98k from your inventory and then pick it up again. Reload the Kar98k. The M416 would then have higher magnification, similar to 15x.
They might have patched this bug out of PUBG Mobile, of course. However, people are still trying to replicate this with a moderate level of success. You might want to check out the below video for yet another method of glitching.
