Daniel Mullins Games has announced that its 2021 horror card game Inscryption is coming to mobile. The news dropped during an official Twitch stream held to mark the game's fifth anniversary over the weekend of October 18 and 19, 2026. Creator Daniel Mullins joined the stream to share the update with fans.

Core Gameplay

Inscryption mixes deckbuilding roguelike battles with psychological horror and escape-room puzzles. In the opening act you sit across from the Scrybe Leshy in a dark cabin and build a deck of woodland creature cards through drafts, surgery, and other strange methods. Cards cost blood, so you sacrifice weaker creatures to play stronger ones. Damage is tracked on a scale between you and Leshy. Winning runs lets you progress while losing resets progress with a twist. Outside the matches you explore the cabin, solve puzzles, and uncover secrets that shift the entire experience.

The Mobile Announcement

No release date has been confirmed yet for the mobile version. The team is still working on the adaptation and plans to share more details in the coming months. They want to get the port right so it preserves the atmosphere, identity, and experience that made the original special.

Daniel Mullins Games also confirmed that no new DLC or content updates are planned. In a Reddit post, the studio explained that they see Inscryption as a complete experience both narratively and gameplay-wise. They do not want to add more content simply for the sake of expansion or to capitalize on the game's success.

What's Next

The developers are currently focused on finishing Pony Island 2, the follow-up to the 2016 game Pony Island. That title is scheduled to release on Steam on April 27, 2027.

While unofficial Android ports have existed for years, this marks the first official mobile release from the studio. Players will soon be able to take the strange cast of creatures and Scrybes with them anywhere.
