About Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds

You can construct and tweak your vehicles, snag gadgets, and fire off power-ups on your own or team up with pals across a bunch of offline and online multiplayer racing options. Cross-platform matchmaking lets up to 12 drivers go head-to-head at the same time, no matter what console or PC they're using.

The character roster packs in plenty of Sonic staples, and free updates after launch will bring in extras like Joker, Kasuga Ichiban, and Hatsune Miku to shake up the multiplayer racing scene.

Right out of the gate, the game offers modes such as Grand Prix tournaments with various cups, ranked online World Match showdowns, tweakable Friend Matches, Time Trials for speed runs, and the casual Race Park for group hangs. Local split-screen supports four players, while online matchmaking handles up to twelve. The Rival System throws in opponents that heckle you throughout Grand Prix races for extra edge.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds works on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC through Steam, and Nintendo Switch. A Nintendo Switch 2 edition is in the works, with a digital rollout planned for the 2025 holiday stretch and physical copies hitting stores early in 2026.
