PUBG Mobile's 4.3 update brings a fresh layer of strategy with five new specializations, functioning as passive class abilities in the Passive Skills Themed Mode. Select one before matchmaking to define your squad role, with abilities upgrading through teamwork like revives, supply shares, and vehicle travel. These encourage coordinated play over random picks, perfect for ranked matches on maps like Erangel.

1. Vehicle Specialization
Iconized by a racing helmet, this pick turns you into the squad's mobility master. It reduces fuel consumption and damage to vehicles from enemy fire, plus boosts tire durability from higher-tier loot. Ideal for edge rotations on big maps like Erangel or Miramar, but watch for tire snipers.
Pair with the new BRDM airdrop vehicle for armored pushes. Upgrades make vehicles quieter and tougher late-game.
2. Healing Specialization
Represented by utensils (think field medic), it slashes revive time to about 4.5 seconds at base level and restores health post-revive at higher tiers. A game-changer in close fights or final circles, letting squads bounce back fast.
Early game expands healing radius; late game maximizes output. Essential in support-heavy comps (1 Combat, 2 Support, 1 Detection).
3. Perception Specialization (Recon)
The radar icon signals intel dominance. Go prone for 3 seconds to trigger a pulse scan revealing nearby enemies and vehicles through walls - great for compound clears or spotting campers.
Upgrades over circles: basic detection early, precise movement tracking late. Use in balanced teams (1 Healer, 2 Combat, 1 Recon) for 15-20% better placements.
4. Detection Specialization
Camera icon for the spotter. Hitting an enemy marks them visible to the whole squad through walls for a short time, tracking their moves for flanks or repositions.
Reveals enemy gear, ammo, and meds too at higher levels - avoid overgeared foes or exploit weak ones. Thrives in aggressive setups.
5. Combat Specialization
Green gloves for the fragger. Score a knock or finish for a short sprint speed boost, enabling chases or repositions in squad brawls.
Reloads faster and recoil drops after ammo burn (300-400 rounds). Core for max aggression (3 Combat, 1 Healer) but demands skill.
