Career Mode in Umamusume Pretty Derby can feel like a lot to handle for new players. You’ve got to juggle stats, pick the right skills, and nail tougher races as you go. But some characters make it way easier with their solid stat boosts, straightforward career paths, and strong unique skills. Here’s a rundown of five of the easiest umas to breeze through Career Mode with.
5) Agnes Tachyon
Agnes Tachyon is a medium-distance Pace Chaser who runs mostly Medium races, wrapping up with the Arima Kinen. Those races can be tricky for newbies, but her unique skill, Introduction to Physiology, saves the day. It kicks in at a corner in the second half of the race, giving her a big Stamina boost. With her 20% Speed bonus, stack your Support Card deck with 3 Speed, 2 Stamina, and 1 Power to hit all her goals.
4) TM Opera O
TM Opera O focuses on Medium and Long races, with a handy 20% Stamina bonus that makes training Stamina a breeze. As a Pace Chaser, her skills like Prepared to Pass and Up-Tempo work great together. Her unique skill boosts her speed at the final corner when she’s near another racer. Add some last-spurt skills like Homestretch Haste and Speed Star to zoom through the final stretch.
3) El Condor Pasa
El Condor Pasa gets a 20% Speed bonus, which gives her a leg up in Mile races early in her career. Grab a few stamina-replenishing skills to make sure her unique skill, Corazón Ardiente, fires off in the Final Stretch. It ramps up her acceleration and speed, letting her tear down the last bit of the race. Her final race, the Arima Kinen, is a Long race and a bit tough since she’s got a “B” rank for Long distances. But it’s only 100 meters longer than a Medium race, and by then, her stats are usually so good that the “B” rank doesn’t hold her back.
2) Sakura Bakushin O
Sakura Bakushin O is a go-to for tons of players to win the URA Final. She sticks to Sprint and Mile races, with an “A” rank in both, and her 20% Speed bonus is perfect for those. Using the Front Runner style keeps her from getting stuck behind others. Load up on Speed Support Cards and focus on maxing out her stats for an easy career win.
1) Silence Suzuka
Silence Suzuka’s career is a lot like Sakura Bakushin O’s, leaning on her 20% Speed bonus and Front Runner style, but she runs Medium races. What makes her a total standout is how chill her career is—no G1 races until late June of her senior year. All the races before that are super manageable, giving you plenty of time to build the perfect Front Runner without pressure.
