John Drake - Apr 05, 2026 | Mobile Games

Glacio Sword DPS with dual states, Glacio Chafe stacks, and massive team buffs arrives in the next major update.

Excitement is building for Wuthering Waves version 3.3 as reliable beta leaks have dropped the complete kit for the new 5-star Glacio Sword resonator Hiyuki. The white-haired miko-style character brings a fresh playstyle centered on Glacio Chafe application, Dedication resource management, and seamless switching between Present Self and Foreclaimed Self forms.

According to the latest information shared across the community, Hiyuki excels as a Resonance Liberation-focused main DPS who amplifies Glacio damage for the entire team while controlling the battlefield with crowd-pull skills and protective cooldowns.

Character Overview

  • Attribute: Glacio
  • Weapon: Sword
  • Role: Main DPS
  • Damage Type: Resonance Liberation DMG
  • Key Mechanics: Glacio Chafe stacks, Dedication points (max 300), Present Self / Foreclaimed Self states

Basic Attack: Flaming Sakura Blade Art

Performs up to 5 consecutive attacks dealing Glacio DMG. All hits are considered Resonance Liberation DMG.

Present Self

  • Mid-Air Attack: Consume STA to perform a Plunging Attack dealing Glacio DMG.
  • Dodge Counter: Press Normal Attack after a successful Dodge to deal Glacio DMG.
  • Frost Splinter: Present Self applies 1 stack of Glacio Chafe on hit.

Foreclaimed Self

  • Basic Attack performs up to 5 consecutive attacks dealing Glacio DMG.
  • Mid-Air Attack: Up to 2 consecutive attacks in mid-air dealing Glacio DMG.
  • Frost Splinter: Foreclaimed Self fully charged replaces Heavy Attack and grants 1 stack of Glacio Chafe on hit.

Hold Normal Attack on ground or while airborne to cast Frost Splinter: Foreclaimed Self. Consumes STA and 3 points of Flaming Sakura to deal Glacio DMG (Resonance Liberation DMG). Time is temporarily stopped during the move.

Resonance Skill: Frostblight

Two variants depending on stance:

Frostblight: Jade Cleave (Ground) – Press Resonance Skill to pull in nearby targets and deal Glacio DMG.

Frostblight: Petalfall (Mid-Air) – Press Resonance Skill to pull in nearby targets and deal Glacio DMG.

If Hiyuki is attacked during either version, that instance of damage is reduced by 100%. The two variants share a cooldown.

Casting any Resonance Skill version grants the “Like Reeds on Tides” team buff: Increases damage dealt by all nearby Resonators by 20% for 30 seconds.

Forte Circuit: Everfrost Dominion

Hiyuki manages up to 300 points of Dedication.

  • Basic Attack Stage 3 and Resonance Skill in Present Self restore 100 Dedication points each.
  • At max Dedication, Heavy Attack is replaced with Frost Splinter: Present Self.
  • Glacio Bite mechanic: Glacio Chafe from teammates converts to Glacio Bite. New stacks trigger additional Glacio Bite DMG based on current stack limit.
  • Foreclaiming: Inward Vision or Frost Rite hitting a target with 10+ Glacio Bite stacks consumes 10 stacks and triggers Frostblind.

Present Self is the starting state. Foreclaimed Self is entered after casting Foreclaiming: Inward Vision.

Resonance Liberation: Foreclaiming: Inward Vision

Available after casting Frost Splinter: Present Self.

While in Present Self: Press Resonance Liberation to deal Glacio DMG, gain 3 points of resource, consume 300 Dedication, and enter Foreclaimed Self.

Applies 4 stacks of Glacio Chafe on hit. Does not consume Resonance Energy.

Foreclaiming: Blade Liberation (Foreclaimed Self only)

Hold Resonance Liberation to enter charging state (time temporarily stopped, switching disabled). After 1 second, every 0.7 seconds releases Glacio DMG.

Outro Skill: Snowlight Blessing

Glacio DMG dealt by all other Resonators in the team is amplified by 20% against targets affected by Glacio Chafe for 20 seconds.

Additional Passives & Team Synergy

Like Reeds on Tides – Already covered above. Provides a powerful 20% team-wide damage increase for 30 seconds whenever Hiyuki uses her Resonance Skill variants.

Hiyuki’s kit shines in teams with other Glacio applicators. She converts their Chafe into Bite for extra damage triggers and offers strong defensive utility during her skill windows. Recommended supports include characters that can maintain Chafe uptime or provide Resonance Energy.

The leaks also show Hiyuki’s signature weapon Frostburn with strong Glacio Chafe and Resonance Liberation synergy, though full stats remain under wraps for now.

This information comes directly from version 3.3 beta gameplay footage and UI screenshots. All values, names, and mechanics are subject to change before official release. Stay tuned for more updates as the patch approaches!
