Version 3.5 Phase 2 is live, and Suisui’s debut banner “Blessings From Dewy Wings” is running alongside her signature Rectifier, Firstlight’s Herald. Suisui is a 5-star Glacio Rectifier who functions as an HP-scaling healer and dedicated support, particularly strong in Negative Status teams. She raises stack limits on effects like Glacio Chafe, Spectro Frazzle, Fusion Burst, Aero Erosion, and more, while delivering team-wide ATK and All DMG Amplification that scale with her Energy Regen, plus reliable healing through her Ceaseless Landscape domain and Enrichment stacks.

She is already excellent at Sequence 0. The real question for many Rovers is where to spend limited Astrites after securing the base character: extra copies for her Resonance Chain, or the signature weapon.

Suisui at Sequence 0

At S0 she already brings strong value. Her Outro Skill grants 25% All DMG Amplification. High Energy Regen (ideally 260% or more) converts into meaningful team ATK (up to around 50%) and extra DMG Amplification. Her Liberation increases Negative Status stack caps and provides other utility such as Havoc DEF/RES ignore in the right setups. She pairs especially well with characters like Yangyang (Xuanling), Hiyuki, Lucilla, and Chisa, and can slot into other Negative Status teams.

She is easy to build around Energy Regen and HP, and she works as a flexible support. This means most accounts get the majority of her power just by owning her at S0 with a solid 4-star or alternative 5-star Rectifier.

Firstlight’s Herald: The Signature Weapon

Firstlight’s Herald is a clear best-in-slot. At level 90 it offers 412 base ATK and a massive 77% Energy Regen substat. Its passive increases Max HP by 12% (scaling higher with Syntony), restores Concerto Energy after Liberation (on a cooldown), and enables a team ATK buff of 20% at R1 when the conditions around Glacio Chafe and healing are met. Higher ranks push the ATK buff and other numbers further.

The high flat Energy Regen makes hitting optimal thresholds much easier and more consistent. The team ATK buff and Concerto generation are genuine upgrades to her support profile. However, solid alternatives exist. Stellar Symphony (another 5-star with 77% ER) is a strong substitute if you already own it. The 4-star Variation (51.8% ER plus Concerto on skill) is widely regarded as the best free-to-play option and still lets her function well, especially once Echo substats are invested. Other ER-focused or healing-oriented Rectifiers can also carry her.

In short, the signature is a comfortable quality-of-life and performance upgrade, but it is not required for her to perform her job at a high level.

Resonance Chain Value

Suisui’s sequences lean into her support identity rather than personal damage.

  • S1 improves the trigger conditions for her ATK buff (it can now activate more readily from Negative Status application or damage), extends some defensive effects, and adds interruption resistance in her key stance. This is particularly useful for certain Negative Status teams that previously struggled to fully activate her buffs.
  • S2 is frequently cited as a high-value stopping point. It provides a strong team damage bonus (sources describe significant All-Attribute DMG Bonus or Crit DMG amplification while allies are in her domain effects).
  • S3 improves Concerto and Floral Epistle generation for smoother rotations.
  • S4 increases her healing output.
  • S5 and S6 boost her personal damage multipliers, which matter less because she is not a main DPS.

S1 and especially S2 deliver noticeable team power spikes. Higher sequences are more luxury.

Sequence or Weapon? Practical Recommendations

Most players (F2P and low spenders): Prioritize the character at S0 first. After that, the signature weapon is often the better next step if you want a permanent upgrade that also eases building her (the 77% ER is very convenient). If you already have a refined Variation or another high-ER Rectifier and prefer vertical investment, S1 then S2 can feel more impactful for team damage ceilings in the content that matters. Many theorycrafters note that S0 + good alternative weapon already clears endgame comfortably, so neither is mandatory.

Players focused on specific teams (Havoc Bane, Glacio Chafe, or certain Fusion/Spectro comps): S1 has extra value because it smooths buff activation. In those cases, going for S1 (or S2) before the weapon can make sense.

Heavy spenders or collectors: Both are excellent. The weapon is highly tailored to her and looks great. Sequences up to S2 are efficient power. Beyond that the returns diminish for a support.

General rule of thumb for limited resources: Character > Weapon > Sequences for most supports in Wuthering Waves, unless a specific sequence is transformative. Suisui follows this pattern closely. Her base kit is already strong, the weapon is a nice comfort and damage amplifier, and S1/S2 are the sequences worth considering if you plan to invest further.

Final Thoughts

Suisui is one of the higher-value supports released in the 3.x era for Negative Status teams and a solid generalist healer/buffer. Pull her at S0 if you need the role or like her kit and design. After that, decide based on your current Rectifier inventory and how much you play the teams she enables.

If your account already has strong ER options, leaning into S1 or S2 can push her ceiling higher. If you want easier building and consistent team ATK, Firstlight’s Herald is the cleaner upgrade. Either path works. The important part is getting the character herself, because that is where the majority of her contribution comes from.

Save some pulls for the future too. Version 3.5 still has more content coming, and future characters may also want investment. Good luck on your pulls, Rover.
