Battlefield 6 has a bunch of maps for full-scale battles. Some are really good, others not so much or just don't fit well. We've put together this tier list to show our picks for the top maps.
Battlefield 6 Map Tier List
In total, there are 10 maps across the different game modes in Battlefield 6. They vary in size, but each has its unique style. Most are brand new, except for one fan favorite that's back. More maps are on the way, but here's how the existing ones rank right now.
| Tier | Maps |
|---|---|
| S | Liberation Peak, Operation Firestorm |
| A | Manhattan Bridge |
| B | Mirak Valley |
| C | Empire State, Siege of Cairo |
| D | Blackwell Fields, Iberian Offensive, New Sobek City, Saints Quarter |
S-Tier Battlefield 6 Maps
Liberation Peak
- Location: Pamir Mountains, Murghob District, Tajikistan.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, Escalation, King of the Hill, Rush, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
Liberation Peak sets the bar for what a Battlefield map should be. It's a huge snowy mountain with a little village and bases at each end. Big enough for all sorts of vehicles. The long lines of sight are great for snipers in the Recon class. It's versatile, offering intense battles on a grand scale. Capturing flags like C and F in Conquest can turn into total mayhem. It might get chaotic at times, but that's why it's top-notch. In smaller modes, there aren't too many wide-open areas that stall progress. With good team coordination, it can favor one side nicely.
Operation Firestorm
- Location: Balkanabat, Turkmenistan.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, Escalation, King of the Hill, Rush, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
Operation Firestorm is a classic from the series. It showed up first in Battlefield 3 and remains hugely popular. It has a big area for action. Players who prefer large modes get the most out of it. With a refinery and scattered buildings, there's solid cover available. Objectives in various modes are placed decently apart. You can watch over one while your squad pushes another without a long hike. If you like fighting in the open, there's a nice balance of space for sniping. Or dropping in from planes too.
A-Tier Battlefield 6 Maps
Manhattan Bridge
- Location: Dumbo, Brooklyn, New York, United States.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, Escalation, King of the Hill, Rush, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
Manhattan Bridge delivers a ton of disorder in a city environment. Lots of structures and exposed spots remind me of Battlefield: Hardline days. It offers cool chances like seizing the B flag up on rooftops, which gives a real king-of-the-hill setup. Combat works well across short and long ranges for infantry. Having only helicopters as air support reduces some pressure during captures. It mixes narrow zones and broad open flags to control. The main downside is that it's not as big as I'd expected.
B-Tier Battlefield 6 Maps
Mirak Valley
- Location: Tajikistan.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, Escalation, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
From the games I've tried on Mirak Valley, it's a mixed bag. The wide valley with few buildings creates an interesting blend of combat. But flag positions in certain modes are scattered oddly. In Conquest especially, with huge empty spaces on the left and everything crammed on the right. Overall flow is decent, better than lower tiers. You can pick off enemies from a tall crane, but it collapses if you hit the counterweight. So the top spot is an unfinished high-rise. Its worst part is Breakthrough mode, where attackers often face an impossible situation.
C-Tier Battlefield 6 Maps
Empire State
- Location: Brooklyn, New York, United States.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, King of the Hill, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
Battlefield Studios aimed for something different with Empire State. It's a large map that feels cramped, mostly because it's urban. But it doesn't quite work out. In Conquest, spawns are way too near objectives, like the A flag, making it hard to take since enemies respawn right on it. Tight spaces make holding points challenging. It's not totally unbalanced, but not among the best in the starting lineup. I just put up with it when it comes up.
Siege of Cairo
- Location: Central Cairo, Egypt.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, Escalation, King of the Hill, Rush, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
Siege of Cairo left a bad impression from the beta. The streets are packed too tight, with tons of flanking routes against vehicles. Getting up on roofs hands a big edge to teams. Objectives are often in crowded spots, making every fight a surprise attack to secure or defend. Without much open ground, it suits infantry classes more than others.
D-Tier Battlefield 6 Maps
Blackwell Fields
- Location: Kern County, Southern California, United States.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, Escalation, King of the Hill, Rush, Strikepoint, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
As a fresh map from Season 1 in Battlefield 6, Blackwell Fields is pretty awful. It's all exposed, with limited cover from hills or oil pumps. Instead of a grand debut for post-launch content, it's surprisingly tiny. Things get jammed up fast. It turns into close-range madness with no real protection. Matches end up as constant slaughters, even in small modes. Easily one of the biggest letdowns so far.
Iberian Offensive
- Location: Upper Town, Gibraltar.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, Escalation, King of the Hill, Rush, Strikepoint, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
Iberian Offensive seems too confined for the Battlefield franchise. The series has small-team options, but this one feels wrong in big battles. Many buildings to lurk in, but streets lack cover. Clearing rooms is a camper's dream. Control points next to headquarters lead to heavy spawn camping. Glitching onto downtown roofs can tip games quickly. It has some open paths on the sides, which are its only positives.
New Sobek City
- Location: Outskirts of Cairo, Egypt.
- Playable On: Breakthrough, Conquest, Domination, Escalation, King of the Hill, Rush, Strikepoint, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
New Sobek City looks rough right away. Several objectives are out in the open. Unclimbable buildings get exploited by parachuting on top, messing with the other team. Points are spaced okay in most modes, but it becomes a target practice zone, especially when playing objectives. In Rush, defenders win easily thanks to unbreakable cover spots for whole groups. Without fixes to the skybox or cover, it's at the bottom.
Saints Quarter
- Location: Old Town, Gibraltar.
- Playable On: Domination, King of the Hill, Squad Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch.
Saints Quarter stands out as the worst and most mismatched map. Limited to small modes, it resembles something from Valorant. Running through narrow alleys and streets doesn't feel like Battlefield. Each objective has endless hiding places for ambushes, leading to constant grenade spam during captures. Paths with stairs make height advantages easy to grab. With the limited map count, I'd be fine if this one was left out.
