Minecraft's upcoming Chaos Cubed game drop, scheduled for the second quarter of 2026, introduces the exciting new Sulfur Caves biome. Along with it come two brand-new block families: Sulfur and Cinnabar. These blocks offer vibrant new colors and textures for players to use in their builds.
Sulfur Block Family
The Sulfur family consists of yellow crystalline blocks that generate naturally in the Sulfur Caves. They are ideal for creating glowing cave environments or unique decorative structures.
The variants include:
- Sulfur Block
- Polished Sulfur Block
- Sulfur Bricks
- Chiseled Sulfur Block
Each of these main variants has matching stairs, slabs, and walls, giving builders a complete set of 16 Sulfur-related blocks.
In addition, there is the special Potent Sulfur block. When placed underwater, it emits bubbles that release noxious gas at the surface, inflicting the Nausea effect on nearby players and mobs.
Cinnabar Block Family
Cinnabar blocks are rich red stone variants that complement the Sulfur blocks perfectly, creating striking contrasts in builds.
The variants include:
- Cinnabar Block
- Polished Cinnabar Block
- Cinnabar Bricks
- Chiseled Cinnabar Block
Each main variant also comes with stairs, slabs, and walls, giving builders a complete set of 16 Cinnabar-related blocks.
How to Obtain and Use the Blocks
These blocks naturally generate in the new Sulfur Caves biome. They must be mined with a pickaxe. Once collected, players can use crafting tables or a stonecutter to create the polished, brick, chiseled, stairs, slabs, and wall variants from the base blocks.
