Genshin Impact is heading to PC and mobile devices in Spring 2020. The developer miHoYo has announced the closed-beta version of the game with a glamorous trailer.
From the trailer, Genshin Impact seems to be a clone of an infamous triple-A title Zelda: Breath Of The Wild. And most of the time when you see a clone, it's very likely that it will be from China! And this game is not an exception.

Genshin Impact is an open-world anime-style RPG from Honkai Impact 3rd's developer
To reminds you, miHoYo is not just an ordinary Chinese Studio. It has eight years of experience in making video games, especially mobile phones. Its games often bring the vibes of anime, including Collapse Gakuen, the Guns Girl series, and last but not least, the famous Honkai Impact 3rd.
This time, miHoYo continues its tradition and tries to recreate the success of Zelda: Breath of the Wild the next title - Genshin Impact. The game is described as "an open world action RPG", and from the trailer, we can tell that the game looks fantastic!
Even though the developer doesn't directly mention Nintendo's title in the trailer, the last scene from the trailer does speak for itself. It features the main protagonist lying on the grass, looking at the land of Teyvat from high above, which brings a lot of reminiscence to Link viewing the beauty of Hyrule.
The environment in the game is also very similar to Hyrule with a variety of cultures, mystery, and magic. Flying in the land of gothic towers, green meadow, ancient mountain will be an enjoyable experience for everyone finding the same in Nintendo's game!
However, the game has some unique elements, too. The most noticeable difference from the trailer is that you'll have to fight an enormous talking dragon, controlling your anime-style character. The moves and abilities of the characters are also designed with the inspiration from animes as well, and the story's deepness is no jokes!
With its unique storyline, carefully designed characters, and the kind of gameplay that already proved its success with Zelda: Breath of the Wilds, Genshin Impact is very promising!
Story overview and release date
Genshin Impact takes the settings in the land of Teyvat. The land is being peacefully ruled by the elemental gods known as "The Seven".
Very long ago, the Gods have given people here civilization, but the lands are on the verge of separation with greeds growing uncontrollably. As a result, the Gods has chosen the worthy, give them a quest to maintain the balance in the land and hold the world together!
miHoYo has announced a closed beta test for the game, which will support both PC and iOS users. The version will come out in 2020, but you can register right now to be the first one to try the game.
