GTA Online has been popular for over a decade, consistently offering new content, heists, missions, and a variety of vehicles and weapons. Although not all changes have been well-received by players, the game continues to maintain a robust player base long after its release.

One dedicated fan has been putting in the effort almost since the game launched. GTA Online player AlexLovesMetallica94 posted on the game's main subreddit to celebrate reaching an impressive milestone of one billion GTA$ earnings in just under ten years. They shared a screenshot showing their astonishing in-game bank balance of $1,000,601,382. This massive amount has truly amazed others, with many comparing their own earnings to those of AlexLovesMetallica94.

The player has accumulated $1 BILLION in less than 10 years playing GTA Online.

A well-off player

While having a billion in the bank would surprise most players, some speculated that AlexLovesMetallica94 might not have spent much during that time. However, they estimated their total earnings in the game to be around $1.2 billion, indicating they've spent a significant amount as well. The player claims to own 260 vehicles, over twenty flying vehicles, a submarine, numerous businesses in GTA Online, multiple apartments, and a yacht. Their wealth comes from a mix of heists, races, and business sales.

It’s important to note that earning a billion in-game isn’t typical for GTA Online. While many players have speculated about earning hundreds of millions, if everyone could make that much through in-game methods, Shark Cards likely wouldn’t be as popular. Depending on how much longer Rockstar Games supports GTA Online, it’s possible that this player or others could surpass that amount. It will be interesting to see how earnings are handled in any online components of GTA 6 once it releases, but players continue to demonstrate that with enough dedication and focus, it’s possible to achieve a lot without spending any money beyond the initial purchase of the game.
