Mecha Break has a bunch of Strikers, each with their own strengths, but some definitely stand out more than others, and there’s a clear meta forming.
Here, we’ll go over which Strikers are the best and which ones are less impressive, with a quick explanation of why.
Mecha Break S-Tier Mechs
Note: Inferno isn’t included in this tier list since it takes 3 weeks to unlock with its 18,000 Merit Point cost.
Luminae, Tricera, Welkin, and Stego are top-notch choices in Operation Verge. They’re great at a bunch of stuff and bring a lot to the team.
- Luminae is the go-to support. With tanky mechs like Tricera being strong right now, Luminae keeps them in the fight.
- Tricera is super tough with 70,000 base HP. Its Fortress Form Module makes it a beast at holding points.
- Welkin packs a punch, especially as a melee Striker. Its Dueling Forcefield forces enemies to fight up close, which is where it shines.
- Stego is also super tanky and deals heavy damage. In Turret Mode, it can blast enemies from far away while staying safe behind a barrier.
Mecha Break A-Tier Mechs
Alysnes, Falcon, Hurricane, and Pinaka are solid picks. They’re not quite S-Tier, but you can still do great with them.
- Alysnes is a solid all-rounder. It’s not the best at anything, but it can handle melee and mid-range fights pretty well.
- Falcon is fast and agile but tricky to play. It takes practice to get the hang of this Striker.
- Hurricane isn’t as tough as Stego or Tricera, but it’s a solid Ultra-Heavy Defender. Use its barrier and Focusing Emitter to hold your ground and hit hard.
- Pinaka creates cover for your team, making it a great pick. As a support, it keeps tankier mechs in the fight.
Mecha Break B-Tier Mechs
Narukami, Aquila, Panther, and Skyraider are okay but either tough to play, not worth the effort, or just weaker than the rest.
- Narukami is pretty weak right now. It takes a lot of skill to make it work since you’re stuck in place while scoping, and it’s slow to deal max damage.
- Aquila does decent damage but lacks mobility. Other Strikers are usually a better choice.
- Panther is one of the weaker melee options. Melee is strong, but you’re better off with someone like Welkin.
- Skyraider doesn’t hit hard enough. Its Jamming Missiles are solid, but it doesn’t bring much else compared to other Strikers.
Alysnes
Alysnes is the starting mech from the tutorial and is easy to pick up. Here’s what it’s got:
- Main Weapon: Energy Autocannon
- Aux 1: Battle Halberd
- Shield: Complex Shield
- Aux 2: Gauss Cannons
- Aux 3: Airdrop Kit
Alysnes is great for close-to-mid-range fights with its strong melee weapon and solid poke from the Energy Autocannon. Use Gauss Cannons to freeze enemies in place, then go in with the Battle Halberd. The Complex Shield and Airdrop Kit help you get out of tough spots.
Falcon
Falcon costs just 3200 Matrix Credits, so you can grab it early. It’s like a fighter jet with a flying mode, bombing runs, and team sonar. Its weapons are:
- Main Weapon: Autocannon
- Sidearm: Light Missile Launcher
- Aux 1: Recon Kit
- Aux 2: Winged Form Module
- Aux 3: Heavy Missile Launcher
Falcon rules mid-range fights, zipping in and out with the Winged Form Module. Scout with the Recon Kit, chip away with the Autocannon and Light Missile Launcher, then go big with the Heavy Missile Launcher.
Tricera
Tricera also costs 3200 Matrix Credits, making it an early unlock. It’s a tanky Ultra-Heavy Defender with these weapons:
- Main Weapon: Gatling Gun
- Sidearm: Heavy Gatling Gun
- Aux 1: Repair Drone
- Aux 2: Fortress Form Module
- Aux 3: Howitzer
Tricera’s job is to lock down a spot near an objective with Fortress Form Module, shred enemy shields with the Heavy Gatling Gun, and keep allies alive with the Repair Drone. The Howitzer handles faster threats.
Narukami
Narukami is a sniper that costs 6800 Matrix Credits, so it’s affordable early on. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Charged Beam Cannon
- Aux 1: Decoy Drone
- Aux 2: Traction Grappler
- Aux 3: Optical Camo Drone
Narukami stays far from the action, landing big hits with the Charged Beam Cannon. Use Decoy Drone, Traction Grappler, and Optical Camo Drone to stay safe and avoid enemy spam.
Welkin
Welkin, a close-range brawler, costs 6800 Matrix Credits. Its weapons are:
- Main Weapon: Heavy Battleaxe
- Sidearm: Heavy Howitzer
- Aux 1: Dueling Forcefield
- Aux 2: Jamming Smoke Ejector
- Aux 3: Defense Field
Welkin leads the charge with its Heavy Battleaxe and Heavy Howitzer. Trap enemies in close range with the Dueling Forcefield to dominate, but watch your energy.
Luminae
Luminae, a Light Support, costs 9400 Matrix Credits and focuses on healing and mobility. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Drone Launcher
- Sidearm: Drone Launcher
- Aux 1: Haze Diffuser
- Aux 2: Support Jetwing
- Aux 3: Corruption Mode
Luminae keeps the team healthy with its abilities. Switch to Corruption Mode when you need to fight back.
Hurricane
Hurricane, an Ultra-Heavy Defender, costs 9600 Matrix Credits and is more aggressive than Tricera. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Energy Blaster
- Sidearm: Decoy Drone
- Aux 1: Defense Field Drone
- Aux 2: Turret Drone
- Aux 3: Focused Emitter
Hurricane holds a position while blasting enemies with Energy Blaster, Focused Emitter, and Turret Drones. Use Decoy and Defense Field Drones for cover against long-range attacks.
Pinaka
Pinaka, a Medium Supporter, is bought with Corite or Matrix Credits after a few hours. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Rapid Repair Kit
- Sidearm: Splitter
- Aux 1: Repair Drone
- Aux 2: Cover Airdrop Kit
- Aux 3: Emergency Support Drone
Pinaka heals and provides cover with Rapid Repair Kit and Cover Airdrop Kit. Use the Splitter to fend off enemies and Emergency Support Drone to save allies with shields and heals.
Aquila
Aquila, a Light Sniper, is great for aerial combat and costs a bit more than Narukami. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Mobile Beam Cannon
- Aux 1: Pulse Claw
- Aux 2: Airborne Kit
- Aux 3: Multilock Radar
Aquila uses the Airborne Kit to dodge while hitting with the Mobile Beam Cannon. Pulse Claw locks down enemies, and Multilock Radar clears out weaker targets.
Skyraider
Skyraider costs 45000 Matrix Credits or 450 Corite, so it takes a while to unlock. It mixes Falcon’s air skills with Alysnes’ mid-range poke. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Energy Autocannon
- Sidearm: Energy Missile
- Aux 1: Jamming Missile
- Aux 2: Aerial Assault Form
- Aux 3: Missile Dispenser
Skyraider hits hard at close-to-mid range with Energy Autocannon and Missiles. Use Jamming Missile to block enemy fire and Aerial Assault Form to escape or engage.
Stego
Stego has the highest HP at 90000, perfect for holding a spot and dealing long-range damage. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Rocket Pod
- Sidearm: Rapid Rocket Pod
- Aux 1: Jamming Haze Diffuser
- Aux 2: Turret Form
- Aux 3: Micro Missile
Use the Main Rocket Pod for steady damage and Rapid Rocket Pod for bursts. Jamming Haze Diffuser repairs allies’ Fluid Armor, and Turret Form boosts range and accuracy.
Panther
Panther, the priciest mech at 68000 Matrix Credits or 680 Corite, takes time to unlock. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Lance
- Sidearm: Complex Shield
- Aux 1: Shield Blade
- Aux 2: Shield Booster Kit
- Aux 3: Reinforced Complex Shield
Panther gets up close with shields to protect itself, then charges with the Lance. Use Shield Blade for a surprise unparryable attack, but watch your energy.
Inferno
Inferno requires the Matrix’s Contract (Battle Pass), which isn’t available now, or 18000 Merit Points from lots of Mashamk play. It’s an attacker that moves well. Its kit is:
- Main Weapon: Charged Splitter
- Sidearm: Charged Splitter
- Aux 1: Split Emitter
- Aux 2: Focused Emitter
- Aux 3: Booster Kit
Inferno’s Charged Splitters combine for a huge armor-piercing beam. Use Focused Emitter for close enemies and Booster Kit to dodge and line up big shots. Split Emitter clears weaker foes.
