Overview of Remothered: Broken Porcelain
Remothered: Broken Porcelain is the sequel of the first title in the horror series - Tormented Father. It has won the award of 2018's Best Horror Game, and to get over the shadow of its predecessor, Broken Porcelain has to do a lot of new things.
So, starting with the name change from Going Porcelain to Broken Porcelain, the game introduced a brand new story with new gameplay features as well. This sequel will continue the previous story, taking the settings of the Ashmann Inn, following the steps of the main protagonist Jennifer (Jen for short) to explore mysterious events here.
The developers have primed that game will tell the story of love, tragedy, and horror by reimaging the sorrowful memories of the characters while encountering the haunting events in the Ashmann Inn. And its storytelling will be different from the last title - as you can't easily unveil all of them.
Specifically, you'll have to explore the story stealthily, away from the notice of the hunters lurking in the darkest corner of the inn. There are times where you're on the edge of getting caught, and you'll have to escape the scene by throwing everything you can to distract the enemies.
Together will slight puzzle-solving, real-time cinematic scenes and haunting soundtrack, Remothered: Broken Porcelain will be an intriguing horror game for both the veterans and the newcomers of the series.
Who will struggle in the Ashmann Inn?
The story of Remothered: Broken Porcelain follows five characters. The main protagonist - Jen - is a rebellious 15-year-old girl who was sent to Ashmann Inn to become a maid after getting kicked out of the all-female Flemmington Girl's Institute. As she started living here, Jen gradually recognized that there's a sinister being haunting every resident of the inn - revealing the painful memories that she couldn't escape.
Together with Jen is Lindsay Linn - a shy and insecure violinist who is also working as a maid. She finds the mutual love in music with Jen, and the two friends will have to discover the dangers of the new home together. Will their friendship last through this series of eerie events?
The story will also portray the image of Andrea Massino - the main housekeeper of the inn who knows about the dark secret of the inn's owners and Rosemary Reed - the escapee of the last game which has returned to find the missing daughter of the Feltons (the other two escapees).
And the last one and also the most important one - Porcelain - is the haunting beings of Ashmann Inn. No one can assure that whether he really exists or not, but through the sixth sense of Jen and the mysterious events in the house, Jen can't stop feeling that Porcelain is always there, watching her from behind the walls.
