PlayStation 5 Expected Cost and Launch Date
According to the PS5 Showcase, the next-gen console from Sony will hit the shelf on November 12th, 2020 with two versions. The base version of PS5 costs $499.99, and the disc-free Digital Edition is available at $399.99. These are basically the same product, which is almost identical in terms of functionality. The digital version is basically the same product without a disk drive, plus a slightly different appearance.
The most pronounced drawback of the PS5 Digital Edition is perhaps the connection issues. Since it does not have a disk drive, you may encounter some problems getting the games with an unstable Internet connection. Otherwise, it’s pretty much the same product as the base version.
