Fans of Tropico 6 seem to have to wait a little longer for their favorite game, as this title is delayed from its original releasing date of January 25, 2019. With buns of other games, Tropico 6 will now be released on March 29, 2019. The explanation behind this postponement is quite reasonable: after the closed beta test in late 2018, the developer Limbic and publisher Kalypso decided that the game needs more embellishment to fulfill all the feedbacks from their trial players.
On the official website of Kalypso, managing director Simon Hellwig posted some news in the current blog. He said:
"Over the holidays, I have played Tropico 6 for many hours and really liked what I saw. But, in my humble opinion, it is not enough to like a game – I want to love it! And Tropico 6 is good, but not very good, or outstanding. Yet. Combining my own opinion and the response we had from thousands of dedicated beta players around the world, Kalypso has decided to postpone the release of the game for another couple of months to March 29, 2019."
What will definitely be improved, according to Hellwig are pathfinding, multiplayer selection, and the Tropico economy’s simulation. These changes are made according to the high standards of the fans and of the developers themselves for the game. Fans who experienced beta test have suggested some changes to better the game, and while the developers tried their best to implement those, “we cannot do this overnight” – they said.
Kalypso, of course, will compensate for their players for this postponement as the first DLC of Tropico 6 will be giving out free. However, you have to pre-order the game before January 10, 2019, 7pm CST to receive the deal. The offer is available for Steam users, through the digital shop of Kalypso's and other similar digital distributors.
Tropico 6 will be released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
